Vehicle Detail

Hello to all ebayers,..... ******ATTENTION!!!!******For an EXTENSIVE COLLECTION of CURRENT PICTURES ((200+))!!!!!, PLEASE CLICK on the link below****** http://my.tidewater.net/~kitti/Impalaconvertible/ PLEASE READ..... .....up for your consideration and/ or bid is yet another old classic out of my 30 year+ collection. This one being a 1960 Chevrolet Impala Convertible!!! Like everything in my collection, the Impala is currently not a "turn-key-driver" and will need a substantial amount of work!! I purchased the Impala 20 years ago in 1994 and it was stored outside in a field,...turned-to-woods. I think the original 283 is probably stuck,...with no fan belt and generator I can't attempt to turn the engine over by hand. The starter is missing also,...therefore I can't try electrically either. I suspect the engine is the original 283 V-8 and 2 speed cast-iron Power-Glide that has 82,811,...or maybe it's more likely 182,811??,...I have no way of really, truly knowing. The transmission could even be the RARE (at the time) 3 speed Turbo-Glide. The battery box is in place and in very good condition as well as the original radiator that appears to be excellent. The MAIN FRAME is in EXCELLENT condition from the front bumper to the rear differential,...as per usual,...these "X-frames" ((from '58-'64)) were built like a rugged bridge girder and with-stood the "test-of-time"!!! The weak part of these frames ((like this one/ see pictures)) is the rear light duty frame section under the trunk floor! The sheet metal as a whole is pretty weak all the way around to include the trunk floor, complete passenger floor-board ((front and rear)), rear quarters in the lower section. All the glass is broke/ missing ((except the drivers side vent window)) due to ignorant, dumb "punk-vandals" having their way with the impala decades ago,...you may have noticed the silver spray paint that says "F'-you this car is perfict" !!!...((idiots, couldn't even spell!)). The Impala free-rolls 100% and NO brakes are seized,...therefore will load with ease. Please Note;.....A FREE 348/ 409 ENGINE I've had for years that is included in this auction,...it will go with this Impala FOR FREE IF YOU WANT IT,.....if you don't, than simply leave it behind!!! ((I don't know exactly what the Big Block is for sure)) I will load this into/ on your truck or equipment for free. BUT,...For the high bidder that requires a transport company,...add $200.00 to the final auction price...as I'll need to remove the front passenger seat and custom build a full pallet to be installed in the passenger section of the Impala, load the 348/ 409 engine, strap it down, and then I'll have to pack the passenger seat around the 348/ 409 engine!!!.....BUILD IT MILD.....OR BUILD IT WILD YOUR CHOICE!!! Overall the Impala is an okay candidate for restoring or would make an excellent parts car,...your choice! The starting bid is at a very reasonable starting price for a '60 Chevrolet Impala Convertible with the original 283 and an extra FREE 348/ 409!!! The opening bid is set at a bargain price,...considering the "whole-package"! I've stated all that I know about this Impala as factual as possible. Due to the age and amount of sitting for years, this Impala does not come with any guarantees or warranties expressed or implied and is sold as is where is. For the winning bidder I offer FREE delivery BUT only if you are local and/or up to only 20 miles away. If you are 21-100 miles from the Impala I offer delivery for a fee of $1.00 per mile. I do not offer any delivery options over 100 miles and I certainly do not offer any long haul options from state to state either. Any winning bidder that is in the "over 100 mile category" it is up to you to make shipping arrangements and of course all transportation and shipping costs are the expense of you...(the winning high bidder). At my discretion, I may extend the free delivery from 21-100 miles if the Impala reaches a dollar amount I deem acceptable. Should you use your own trailer/equipment to pickup the Impala,...I offer FREE loading assistance to you with my Rollback and equipment,...or I'll assist the carrier of your choice (should you hire one),...also FREE of charge. PLEASE NOTE;...the state of Maine does not/will not issue a title for ANY automobile/vehicle of 1995 and prior. I do not have a title and the Impala comes with a bill-of-sale as ownership. ADDITIONAL NOTE;...some states will not accept a bill-of-sale as ownership of a vehicle,...please check with your individual state. FOR THOSE PERSPECTIVE BIDDERS THAT FIT INTO THIS LAST CATEGORY,...please let me know, as I have a legal document called (("Letter of Verification" @ 1 (207) 624-9000)) so that you can take this paperwork to YOUR state DMV you reside in and YOUR STATE will issue you a new title in your state. I've done this may of times before and to my knowledge this is the only perfectly legal way for bidders from title-demanding states to get a title for a vehicle from a non-title issuing state. I believe the pictures speak for them self, and what doesn't I've included in the description,........if you feel I have missed anything or you have any questions what so ever, please feel free to send me an email and I'll answer the question(s) asap. Upon the completion of the auction I ask that the winning bidder to commit to the transaction with payment in the form of a $200.00 deposit within 48 hours. I also ask that the high bidder follow-up with full payment in 7 days, or contact me for additional time if needed. If you have no intent of following threw with the complete payment of the auction item, please just don't bid and waste everyone's time playing games,...any non paying bidders will be reported to both ebay and all 3 major credit reporting agency's. As always,...UNDERCARRIAGE PICTURES ARE ALWAYS posted for perspective bidders/ buyers!!! ********KEEP WATCH,...a lot of interesting older ANTIQUE/CLASSIC AUTOS (1950-1985) coming in the next several weeks/months,...ALL of which will start with a modest starting price with NO HIDDEN RESERVE!!!******** .....thanks for looking, Bob.. On Sep-04-14 at 20:14:52 PDT, seller added the following information: *****!!!!! SPECIAL NOTICE !!!!!***** ......ZERO (0) RATING BIDDERS WILL BE CANCELLED,.....THIS AUCTION IS FOR REAL BIDDERS,.../NOT "GAME PLAYERS"!!!!!!!! On Sep-05-14 at 19:18:29 PDT, seller added the following information: *****((( NOTICE/ UPDATE)))*****;.....I've been informed by 2 seemingly knowledgeable individuals with books on 348/409 engines and both individuals claim that according to the engine casting numbers on the block that the extra engine is in fact a 1958 348,...not a 409 engine that goes with the '60 Impala Convertible.
