Vehicle Detail
Here's your chance to own a classic Ford pickup, and with that, a rare crewcab, let alone one in this condition. As one who sincerely values, appreciates and collects old Ford trucks and in particular, the 1973-79 time period, I struggle to list this truck, however it's safe to say I've acquired more than my fair share of old Fords and its time to downsize a bit. As for the truck itself, it's a lifelong truck from the west and a true survivor avoiding the environmental effects many of these trucks typically witness. This is the F260 heavy duty version Ford offered for the model year, which means Dana 60's on both ends. In addition, through a previous owner, the truck has been through a restoration. A transplanted healthy 429 delivers power through a C6 with stall convertor. Edelbrock carburetor and intake are utilized for fuel control coupled with a true dual exhaust...this truck sounds darn good! The truck has a 6" lift and rides on 35" BFG all terrains. The exterior paint is in good condition. The interior has also seen some attention with new leather seats and vinyl floor pad. This truck at one time had AC however currently does not, plumbing is in place for those wishing to reinstall this option. The bed is lined and in good condition. All trim is in place and again in very good condition. For those residing in emission friendly states so to speak, the F260 signature helps significantly as the heavy duty version isn't held to the stricter standards of the F250. This truck has easily passed Colorado's very strict emission standards since I've owned it. Overall, this is a very cool truck, a lot of fun to drive and quiet honestly my dream truck, however times have changed and I am willing to part ways with it. I will not say the truck is perfect, however it is indeed in pretty good condition, a lot of fun to drive, and is a conversation piece anywhere it is driven. Again, keep in mind, rarely will you see an old Ford crew for sale, nor one in this condition. Truck was locally appraised for just over $20k a couple years ago and continues to appreciate in value. While I'm willing to sell, I do not need to give it away to the lowest bidder. This truck is sold as is with no written and/or implied warranty. The truck is for sale locally and with that, this auction may end early if a relevant buyer presents itself. I will not arrange shipping however can make myself available during pickup, buyer assumes any shipping and/or related costs above and beyond auction price.
