Vehicle Detail
1972 Chevrolet K20 Pickup 3/4-ton, 4x4 Mildly built small block 350 (not the original engine, and allegedly has around 400hp) TH350 transmission NP205 transfer case 4.11 gears Warn premium HD hubs Painless wiring harness Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke Edelbrock valve covers Edelbrock intake manifold Headers Dual Flowmaster 40-series mufflers Grant steering wheel 35x12.5 BFG All-Terrains K&N air filter HEI Distributor and wires Transmission cooler Service and parts installed in 2013: Full undercoating of frame, suspension, axles, etc… 6” Tuff Country EZ-ride front leaf springs ORD Heavy Duty, greasable shackles Bilstein 5125s all around Steering stabilizer Solid back window Tint Pioneer CD player with remote and iPod cable, and AUX input 2 Rockford Fosgate Power 3-way 6x9s 2 Rockford Fosgate Power 10” Subwoofers Rockford Fosgate Power 400 watt amp (4-channel) Steering column from Brothers Truck Optima Yellow-Top battery Rear drums overhauled; drums, new springs, seals, everything All new brake lines and hoses; stainless braided front and rear Rotors, calipers, and pads Every u-joint and ball joint Wheel bearings (inner and outer at all four wheels) Horn (high/low like on newer trucks) Halogen headlights Belts and hoses Royal Purple differential fluid Spark plugs Exhaust pipe Misc electrical components E-brake cables and parts LED dome light (still needs to be wired) Notes: Body looks flawless in some pictures, but as you can see in other pictures there are spots that need to be touched up. The body is in great overall condition, but it does have nicks and clear coat flaws here and there. Clear coat is peeling in a few spots. Bed is fine, but shows lots of use and could use a new coat of liner. Still turns heads everywhere it goes. Every time I get out of it, someone comes up to talk to me about it. Heater is currently not hooked up. As you can see, the heater hoses are currently bypassing the core. A new core and fan/heater control for the cab will be included with the truck, they just need to be installed. The transfer case and transmission were recently flushed and had new seals installed. Bench seat has great upholstery, and is in fantastic condition, but two of the springs on the driver’s side are missing and need to be replaced. Passenger-side triangular window makes a whistling sound over 40mph due to aging of the rubber around it. All gauges function perfectly, however, the speedo is exactly 5mph slow. Power steering fluid needs to be flushed and replaced. The only reason I know that is because it will randomly (very randomly) make a low humming sound at cold idle, and I asked my mechanic about it at the last oil change. In January of 2013 I took it to a well respected, ASE certified shop in town, and asked the mechanics to do everything they needed to get it in perfect mechanical condition. I told them it would be my daily driver and had to be perfectly reliable. That’s when the entire brake system was overhauled, a full tune was done, and most of the parts I listed above were installed. It spent about 2 months there. I have been driving it to work almost every day for the last year. The truck runs strong, the engine starts easily and reliably every time the key is turned. I always let it get to full operating temperature before driving it. Overall it looks and drives great, and is in excellent condition unless otherwise noted. As a matter of disclaimer, the truck is being sold as-is, and I have disclosed everything I know about it. If it has any other flaws or defects, I am unaware of them. Included but not installed: Weather stripping for both doors Heater core Heater and vent control unit for in the cabOther misc parts that I can find in the garage I swore up and down I would never sell this truck after pouring all this money and time into it (it is my favorite truck in the world), but we have a new baby and I would like something with four seat belts. I will also consider full or partial trades. Looking for a full-size blazer, Jeep, or crew-cab truck. Must be 4x4. Don't be afraid to make an offer! I am willing to communicate with the winning bidder as much as desired, and will be very flexible and accommodating with shipping arrangements, communicating with banks for wire instructions, etc… However, if I detect anything sketchy or shady, or you are difficult to communicate/deal with, I will cut off communication immediately and report any attempted fraud or misconduct. ***Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping and/or pickup. Buyer must make a non-refundable $2,000 deposit via Paypal, within 48 hours of the auction ending. No refunds, no warranty. Selling the truck as-is, with no promises or other obligations.
