Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my 1973 Honda CB350F motorcycle. The wife says she won't be scraping snow and frost off her windows this winter so I have to make some room in the garage. Besides, I have too many projects to get to anyhow and this classic deserves to be on the road again. The bike is in pretty good condition considering it is 40 years old! It isn't show-room perfect but with a little work will make a fantastic vintage cruiser. I am not an expert on these motorcycles but I think all the parts are present. Please ask questions though and I will be glad to answer them as soon as I can. The bike currently will not start due to sitting for the last 2 years in the garage. These motors are pretty much bullet proof so I'm sure that a good carb cleaning and fresh gas and battery and it will fire right up. It ran fine when parked. The motor turns over freely, it just won't start. Please view the photos closely for more detail. I took numerous pictures and positions to give you the best views I could. Now for some details. The chrome is in pretty good shape with just some light specks scratches here and there. No real heavy pitting or anything like that. I don't think the pipes are original (previous owner changed them, not me) but look to be in decent shape. There is one area that has some rust on it. The front tire, as you can see from the pictures, is flat and will need a new tube. Both front and back tires look o.k. but do have some light dry cracking to them. The paint has a good shine to it yet and looks pretty good. There are some ares that look like it is fading a bit and is turning a little bluish but not bad. Cables are all functional and in working condition. The tank does has a small amount of hazing on the top around the gas cap probably from gas. The cap and the inside are very clean with no rust. The seat is in great shape with no rips or tears. It looks really good after all these years. The rear taillight has a hole knocked in it. It can be replaced for $20 on line or left alone. The only mechanical issue with the bike that I know of is the oil filter cover bolt. The originals came with a bolt that has a small head on it that rounds off easily. this is what has happened to mine (see pictures). I do however have a new bolt for it that will go along with the bike. I also have a repair manual (Clymers) that will also go with it. I have a clean title in my name and one original Honda key for the ignition. I will be asking that a $200.00 deposit be put into my Paypal account within 24 hours of the auction end. The remainder can be paid in full upon picking up the motorcycle. I will give you the notarized title at that time to. There will not be any type of warranty on it due to the age of the bike. No delivery, PICK-UP ONLY! I will not put a buy-it-now on it. I will let the auction run to completion.
