VIDEO: http://youtu.be/p2ogZK2q5WESeveral people have inquired about the car locally and will be viewing within the next day or two. Over about 9 months I have put thousands of dollars, a lot of time and care into the car hoping to make it my daily driver. Towards the end of the restoration I had to leave my job and now I'm going off to school in September which changed my circumstances and makes the car impractical for my new situation. The car is under a carport registered and insured, with me not driving it the long distances I need to be able to drive daily. The car has been kept under a carport or in a garage for the majority of its life. I'll make a list of the pro's and cons and leave its condition up to your discretion. When the word new is used it means brand new out of the package. Everything is installed unless otherwise noted. To my knowledge I am the third owner of this car. Most of the downsides to the car are just cosmetic issues. I try to drive the car once a day but my schedule doesn't always allow it. -My mechanic told me that with the sound of the engine he doesn't think that it has a stock cam, he believes it to be an upgrade performance cam but this hasn't been confirmed. I will include with the purchase of the car: Black Interior dye, outdoor car cover (fits perfectly), Roll of indoor/outdoor carpet used in the car. Any (old) nuts bolts screws misc. interior bits, and instructions to complete the installation of the dash cap.Pro's: EDIT: Brand New 650 Cold Crank battery And Quick Release Terminals EDIT: Brand New Transmission Mount And Gasket -I forgot to mention that major pro to the car's condition EDIT: Brand New Valve Cover Gaskets Installed Professionally This week.Engine runs very well and strong doesn't burn any oil, has Fresh oil. Don't let the cosmetic appearance of the engine fool you, it has never had any issues since i have owned it.Very little to NO rust on the frame (this has been confirmed professionally).AC components still on carBrand new gas tankNew distributor (cap?) Nearly new plug's and wires.New exhaust system front to back with the exception of one manifold with upgrade "Hide-away" mufflers. New fuel filter and fuel line to carb.Rebuilt and professionally tuned original Rochester 4 barrel carburetor.Newly rebuilt starter.New: brake pads, 4 piston calipers, Master cylinder. (all 4 wheels)New center console.New upgrade leather side panels on either side of center console. Upgrade Grant GT mahogany racing steering wheel.New (not fully installed) dash cap, not the cheap kind. Just a matter of punching some wholes and screwing it in.Near new front tires.Very nice solid aluminum wheels. Working: Speedometer, Gas gauge, Battery gauge, oil pressure gauge, and driver's side power window, break lights. --RPM gauge does not appear to work.New carpet, not professionally done or completely finished, (see pics) I will include a roll of the quality indoor/outdoor carpet used in case you want to do it again yourself. Plenty left to do the whole car again. Working rear compartment sun shield (still retracts strong)Upgrade opening back hatch (glass)Fully functional seat-belts on both sidesReplaced (not sure when) seat pads in very good condition. Cons: Rear tires (Wide Track Radial SR's) have dry rot on the inner side wall, drive on them at your own risk, fine for going at low to moderate speeds. Most of the roof interior is not aesthetically appealing (cracking, slight sag to T-top vinyl).Needs a rear compartment cover, and felt boxes. (purely aesthetic) *Very* slight brake caliper leak on front wheel (just enough to make it moist). The break rotors may need replaced eventually, although the car stops perfectly without issue. Very minor vacuum leak around carb (could use a new gasket eventually, easy fix). One head light is stuck up and refuses to go down, someone who knows more about corvette headlights could probably easily fix it. It went down when I bought it. Needs some electrical attention: especially in the turn signal department (they do strange things), the headlights work but on rare occasion act funny (I think they just need new bulbs). High beams work perfectly. Some of the fuses have been replaced but not all of them, which could be the only thing going on with any electronic issues but for the sake of seller's honesty I can't say for sure that is the only issue. No interior lights other then the gauge cluster and shifter. Upon driving the car more the only electrical issue other then interior lights is the turn signal! Ancient radio doesn't work. . .but it lights up! Clock doesn't work (none of them do) thanks GM. Windshield wipers are spotty and the blades need replaced but do work when there is rain to reduce friction. The passenger side window seems like it wants to work but won't go completely up, and it won't go down at all, this is the only leak on the car that I am aware of, after washing it several times. Needs drivers side door panel. (Purely aesthetic)The paint is not perfect, there is some very minor spider cracking around the antenna, some bubbles on the hood. And one lateral crack that isn't terribly noticeable on the rear bumper. I have been told by a mechanic none of the cracks will spread and the body is in excellent condition. The paint other wise is in pretty good shape, refer to pics. Needs choke, easy enough to start without it but can be annoying. There is a bit of the clear plastic over the speedometer missing. (purely cosmetic) Things to know and remember: TITLE IS CLEAN. When I bought the car there were some rust holes in the floor pans, we repaired this by removing the rust, putting very rigid latticed aluminum wire over the two larger wholes (about the size of a small plate) and then covered the entire floor with layers of fiberglass mat, Fiberglass cloth, and resin. It is a very solid repair; I would not sell the car if it was unsafe, mechanics have said it is a solid repair and deemed it safe. Seat tracks were repaired by welding. All very strong repairs. Again no rust on frame at any of the usual trouble points this is a SOLID corvette. Of course sold as is, I reserve the right to end the listing at any time due to the inquiry of several people locally, the fastest sale is the one who gets her! Open to trades of newer sports cars, preferably corvettes, no super high miles or reliability issues. Happy bidding, I appreciate any and all consideration on this close to finished classic american muscle car project! I'n need of a new car to take to school and be able to drive long distances.
