My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auciton today is a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis with just 146k miles on it. The Grand Marquis is cousins with the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car...both of which are known to last into the 400k-500k mile range being used as Taxi's and Limo's. You don't normally see the Mercury's with that kind of mileage simply because they are too expensive for Taxi companies to buy compared to the Crown Vic and not nice enough to be used in Limo services like you see the Town Car used for. Under the skin, the engine and transmissions...literally everything...is identical. What that means to a used car buyer is that the Mercury Grand Marquis is quite possibly the absolute best value in a used car...period. How many new cars can you buy and expect to get 300k miles out of without any major issues? ...not many. You can pick up a used Grand Marquis with mileage in the low 100's for less than $5,000 knowing that the car has another 300k miles in it to give. These cars are the bargain of the century. Anyways, I would rate the exterior of this Grand Marquis to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking car. It is finished in black over tan interior with a matching tan pin stripe down the side. As with any older vehicle, the finish isn't perfect but shows very well for its age. There are no major scratches, scrapes or other noteworthy damage to report. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. I didn't see any body rust. The windshield has a crack in it and will probably need replaced to pass most state safety inspections. Otherwise, all of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice matching set of Goodyears with nice tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how clean this Mercury is. I would also rate the interior of this Grand Marquis to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The dark tan leather interior contrasts nicely against the black exterior. The drivers inside door pull strap is missing which is common with age. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The seats are in excellent condition for their age and are very comfortable. Both front seats are power operated. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work properly. The stereo is original and sounds great. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The heater keeps the interior warm on cool evenings. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The dash and headliner are clean with minor fraying evident on the perimiter of the headliner. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and look at each of the pictures to see how clean this Mercury is. Mechanically, this Grand Marquis appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels good. The steering and brakes feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all gears. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This Grand Marquis comes to us as a fresh NEW FORD TRADE from a local Ford dealer here in York County. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auciton today is a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis with just 146k miles on it. The Grand Marquis is cousins with the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car...both of which are known to last into the 400k-500k mile range being used as Taxi's and Limo's. You don't normally see the Mercury's with that kind of mileage simply because they are too expensive for Taxi companies to buy compared to the Crown Vic and not nice enough to be used in Limo services like you see the Town Car used for. Under the skin, the engine and transmissions...literally everything...is identical. What that means to a used car buyer is that the Mercury Grand Marquis is quite possibly the absolute best value in a used car...period. How many new cars can you buy and expect to get 300k miles out of without any major issues? ...not many. You can pick up a used Grand Marquis with mileage in the low 100's for less than $5,000 knowing that the car has another 300k miles in it to give. These cars are the bargain of the century. Anyways, I would rate the exterior of this Grand Marquis to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking car. It is finished in black over tan interior with a matching tan pin stripe down the side. As with any older vehicle, the finish isn't perfect but shows very well for its age. There are no major scratches, scrapes or other noteworthy damage to report. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. I didn't see any body rust. The windshield has a crack in it and will probably need replaced to pass most state safety inspections. Otherwise, all of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice matching set of Goodyears with nice tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how clean this Mercury is.
I would also rate the interior of this Grand Marquis to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The dark tan leather interior contrasts nicely against the black exterior. The drivers inside door pull strap is missing which is common with age. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The seats are in excellent condition for their age and are very comfortable. Both front seats are power operated. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work properly. The stereo is original and sounds great. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The heater keeps the interior warm on cool evenings. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The dash and headliner are clean with minor fraying evident on the perimiter of the headliner. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and look at each of the pictures to see how clean this Mercury is.
Mechanically, this Grand Marquis appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels good. The steering and brakes feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all gears. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This Grand Marquis comes to us as a fresh NEW FORD TRADE from a local Ford dealer here in York County. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning Bidders:

Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.
