....Very Cool 1948 Ford F-4. Flathead 6 cyl. 4 speed. PTO driven Dump body. This truck shows 17,000 miles and the Odometer works !!! This has the Flathead 6 cyl motor which many say is the best motor available. OVER $ 3,500.00 spent on the motor alone !! It is very impressive how it starts, runs, and sounds. This was all done at our local NAPA Machine shop. All the gauges work well. The PTO system works perfect. Bed raises and lowers with no problems. Brakes had been done by previous owner. All 6 tires are brand new at a cost of $ 1,350.00 !!! they still have the nibs on them. The dump bed is in nice shape with a strong floor and cross supports. Truck drives well with no play in the steering. I don't know for certain, but I suspect that the 17,000 miles are the original. The body is solid for the year but not perfect. Doors are nice. Cab has cool patina on it.Battery is brand new. Nice front bumper and tow hooks. Nice rear tow hitch plate was built for it. Has a heater, but is not hooked up. Runs cool. This is a nice vintage truck that you can have fun with and show, but you can also work with it. The box is in such nice condition and lifts so well. its ready to haul. I forgot to mention that the seat is all original covering and is nice !
