Vehicle Detail
Just days ago, when the car was still running, it used to start right up and travel on the highways like a modern car with great acceleration. Everything worked fine with respect to the drive train, such as with the clutch and gearbox. It suddenly stopped and the engine won't turn. My mechanic says one piston rings on the driver side of engine must be burnt up (he previously wanrned me about low compression on one cylinder). But to be sure, one must look inside. This car was put on no-op in 2004 and stored inside an enclosed garage by the previous owner ever since. Before that the engine had been overhauled in 2001 (Receipt is available). I bought this car few weeks ago planning to gradually restore it. But now that it is not running, I decided to sell it - although it may only cost just a few hundred dollars to fix it. Having said all of this, the car is sold as is. Please look at all pictures for couple of small dents on front and few minor surface rust spots on paint and rear bumper. The original body color could have been red, repainted orange. All floor boards appear original and free from any major rust. I just had four new tires installed on this car and had the breaks on front and rear done (the rear just needed adjustment) and the rear wheel bearings replaced. A complete tune up was also done, including replacing wires and plugs with new Bosch parts as well as gas filter, oil change, and some carb lines and fittings as needed. The interior, including the dash pad, headliner, and door panels, appear decent for the age of the car. Based on the above, and the fact that this is a california car with no major rust, the car has a lot of potential. Once it is completely restored, it can potentially worth over $10,000. At hand, I have the California title in my name, and the registration is good until October 2014. No DMV back fees. If you have any questions about this car please do not hesitate to ask me before bidding. Thank you for your attention.
