Vehicle Detail
1973 MGB, recently purchased as surprise for my wife. It is far to difficult for my wife to get in and out of so I am passing it on. I purchased the MGB from a woman who owned the car for 22 years ( title still in her name ) and drove less than 10,000 miles during this time. This is a driver quality MGB, that runs really good, carbs are dialed right in. I drove the car 60+ miles home including Expressways and it ran fantastic. I was told that there was suspension updating during there ownership. Clutch is strong. Brakes stop well. Tires are like new. There is no spare. Prior to the previous owner, there was a light restoration, with body and paint work. Driver quality repaint of a bright blue. I think the car was originally pale blue. The driver side front floor pan was replaced. Cross brace has rust. The hood, trunk and door lips / seams are all good. Interior is decent with some rubber as well as door fuzzies need replaced. Console lid has no latch. Driver window rolls up / down easily, passenger side is stiff. Rear bumper has light pitting that may clean up better. Front bumper is nice. Everything seems to work as it should including interior light when door is ajar. Aftermarket radio has a weak signal. The trunk lid is missing the small bracket that the rod connects to when open. The top has a few small cracks that are taped but is respectable. A nice boot cover is included. Just a good running MGB that can be driven as is or tinker as you go. I have tried to list everything that I can think of, please ask questions. I am an honest ebayer /seller as my feedback reflects. I have sold quite a few vehicles on Ebay over the years and I tend to over-describe the vehicles. The MGB sells as is, with no warranty or returns. Paypal deposit with payment in cash, bank draft or bank transfer. I will work with shipping which is up to the buyer to coordinate and pay for. The MGB must be removed from current location within 1 week of auction ending. I Reserve the right to end the auction at anytime due to the car being listed locally as well.On Aug-22-14 at 14:37:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I`ve got a lot of watchers on the MGB, so just a heads up that interest in the car locally is picking up. If anyone is seriously interested, feel free to an honest offer and I will end the auction. Thanks and good luck.On Aug-23-14 at 07:47:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I have a stronger offer locally than where the auction stands as of now. If there is no change in the auction dollar amount by noon tomorrow, I will be ending the auction and going with the local buyer. This should separate the serious from the tire kickers. I had the car out yesterday afternoon for a 30 mile drive and it performed flawlessly. ThanksOn Aug-24-14 at 04:12:53 PDT, seller added the following information: The MGB title is now in my name, as a few potential buyers requested that this be done.On Aug-24-14 at 04:26:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Answering a question for britguy62, yes frame rails are in good shape / fine, it is the cross brace that is rusted on one side as noted already. On Aug-24-14 at 07:56:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes the 1 week pick up must be followed. I am tight on space and am actively looking for a replacement for the MG. If a shipper is involved, talk to me and we`ll figure something out.
