My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 Volvo 850 GLT sedan. I would rate the exterior of this Volvo to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking Volvo. It is finished in bright red which is a hard color to find. With the exception of the trunk lid that is faded, the finish has a mile deep shine and is as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few small scrapes and other blemishes in the finish commensurate with age and mileage. The body trim is all present and looking good. The LF marker light is missing its outer lens. Otherwise, all of the glass and lenses are intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread showing all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos closely to see how clean this Volvo is. I would rate the interior of this Volvo 850 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The light tan interior contrasts nicely against the bright red exterior. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well. The dash and headliner are clean. The drivers seat shows some wear as you'd expect at this age. The seats look good overall. There is a yellow-ish mark visible on the back seat. I haven't messed with it but it looks like paint and should come off with minimal effort. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is the original Volvo Premium Sound with CD which powers up and appears to work properly. It looks as if there is an issue with the antenna so it doesn't pick up radio stations like it should. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It offers independent settings for the driver and passenger. The heater keeps the interior warm on cool evenings. The air conditoiner blow ICE COLD AIR, too. The wood interior trim looks great and isn't loose or delaminating like some. The trunk is spacious and clean. A full set of books and manuals is included. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.4L five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't seen any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are pretty good. The suspension feels good for its age and holds the road well. The brakes show light pulsation under hard braking so you may need to do front brakes for inspection. The steering feels good. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The ABS/Tracs light comes and goes and is probably a loose wire connection, which is common. The check engine light was on when I got the car. It's just an evap code...which doesn't affect driving at all. I cleared the code as these sometimes pop up when a car sits for a while. It hasn't come back yet, but it may...just so you know. The only other issue I see with this car is that I don't believe the fuel gauge is accurate. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she pulls a little to the right but drives nice and smoothly. I couldn't get the hood to release to take photos of the engine. I did raise the right side enough to see the service sticker that shows the timing belt being replaced at 138k miles so that service won't be due again until around 200k miles. These cars are getting hard to find that aren't all used up. If you're looking for a simple and reliable car but don't want to live with the painfully bland interior of a Japanese car, an older Volvo is an excellent option. There are very few vehicles that offer as much as a Volvo when it comes to inexpensive used cars. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 Volvo 850 GLT sedan. I would rate the exterior of this Volvo to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking Volvo. It is finished in bright red which is a hard color to find. With the exception of the trunk lid that is faded, the finish has a mile deep shine and is as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few small scrapes and other blemishes in the finish commensurate with age and mileage. The body trim is all present and looking good. The LF marker light is missing its outer lens. Otherwise, all of the glass and lenses are intact. The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread showing all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos closely to see how clean this Volvo is.
I would rate the interior of this Volvo 850 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The light tan interior contrasts nicely against the bright red exterior. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well. The dash and headliner are clean. The drivers seat shows some wear as you'd expect at this age. The seats look good overall. There is a yellow-ish mark visible on the back seat. I haven't messed with it but it looks like paint and should come off with minimal effort. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is the original Volvo Premium Sound with CD which powers up and appears to work properly. It looks as if there is an issue with the antenna so it doesn't pick up radio stations like it should. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It offers independent settings for the driver and passenger. The heater keeps the interior warm on cool evenings. The air conditoiner blow ICE COLD AIR, too. The wood interior trim looks great and isn't loose or delaminating like some. The trunk is spacious and clean. A full set of books and manuals is included.
Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.4L five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't seen any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are pretty good. The suspension feels good for its age and holds the road well. The brakes show light pulsation under hard braking so you may need to do front brakes for inspection. The steering feels good. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The ABS/Tracs light comes and goes and is probably a loose wire connection, which is common. The check engine light was on when I got the car. It's just an evap code...which doesn't affect driving at all. I cleared the code as these sometimes pop up when a car sits for a while. It hasn't come back yet, but it may...just so you know. The only other issue I see with this car is that I don't believe the fuel gauge is accurate. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she pulls a little to the right but drives nice and smoothly. I couldn't get the hood to release to take photos of the engine. I did raise the right side enough to see the service sticker that shows the timing belt being replaced at 138k miles so that service won't be due again until around 200k miles. These cars are getting hard to find that aren't all used up. If you're looking for a simple and reliable car but don't want to live with the painfully bland interior of a Japanese car, an older Volvo is an excellent option. There are very few vehicles that offer as much as a Volvo when it comes to inexpensive used cars. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning Bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.
Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.
