dandada72 Store ****1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL Convertible**** If James Bond were German and not a British agent, the Mercedes-Benz 560SL would definitely be the car he would drive. This is one classic European car that has had a steep rise in demand in recent years and will continue to be strongly sought after as the increase in classic car collectors enter the market. This car was driven in the smooth, paved sunny roads of Florida and garaged for most of it's life, hence the mostly original paint. It's currently own by an avid car collector for the last couple of years. The car is covered in a smooth ivory/cream finish and the paint on this Mercedes still looks great even after 27yrs. The interior brown leather is near immaculate and is accented with burl walnut trim, the seats are soft yet firm this is true german luxury. It's safe to say that they really don't build them like this anymore. It was kept stock with the 5.6L fuel injected V8 and I can say that it still runs like a bull in a rodeo when you step on the gas. With 227hp and 287 lb/ft of torque on tap, even though the engine has a smooth-running feel to it, it behaves like what it is...a V8 muscle car upon acceleration. The original speedometer has a top speed of 160 mph and I get the feeling that, that wasn't put there for show. But i'm not going to try to reach that limit with it and I hope the next lucky owner of this magnificent, museum showpiece won't either. Instead, drop the top down and cruise the strip with this very rare classy beauty that will turn the head of anyone with an appreciation for a true classic mixture of art and engineering. Tires appear to have between 70-80% treadware left, the air-conditioning blows ice cold. Anti-theft stereo plays crystal clear music. Everything in the car appears to work. There is an SRS light on which I will try to get corrected but the car's condition is still very clean and for a car with less than 70,000 miles, you can be ensured that the german engineering that went into it will provide you with many more years of smooth driving.
