Vehicle Detail
*** I apologize for the inconvenience. I am relisting the car due to a deal that fell through because of financing. Please make sure that you have the funds available to complete the purchase. If seeking financing make sure that your bank will finance a salvage car. The vin # is still showing a clear title but the title itself is stamped salvage. I will not end the auction early for any reason. High bidder gets the car. Thank you.*** I had my car listed back in April 2014 for sale for $72,500. During that time it was being stored at my parents house which sadly caught fire on April 26th with the car in the basement. Thank god they were ok but their home of 28 years is pretty much a total loss and they are slowly trying to move forward from this tragedy. Back to the car, once we were cleared to go into the house I removed the car from the basement. It started right up and we drove it out. Initially it looked worse being all covered in black soot and smoke residue. It was obvious the rear bumper was melted at the top along with the spoiler and taillights/sidemarkers (all of the lights were still functional). The reason it wasn't torched is that it was deep in the garage so the fire only made it to the back of the car then went up side of the house and through the attic. The windows were up so the car was sealed and the interior looks showroom condition still. Surprisingly there is no smoky smell either. From there it went to the shop for the insurance to come see it. After a month of battling with them they decided to wash their hands of it and total it. Well the car is mine again and I have the salvage title. This is NOT a salvage car. It is all cosmetic damage that can be easily repaired and ZERO structural/electrical damage. It needs a rear bumper, probably rear hatch, taillights, rear sidemarkers, spoiler (if you want), front window pillars and paint. The drivers side rear quarter has some plastic that melted and dripped on it but that can be prepped and painted. The rest is minor like tarnished hardware(from the smoke I guess) but can easily be replaced if you want to go nuts. A little more TLC and the car will be brand new again. After spending just a few hours cleaning the whole car it looks as it does in the pics. After the repairs you will have no problem passing inspection and registering the vehicle. Also the car did pass emissions back in December so no problems there either. I also replaced the battery just because it was dead from being stored over the last few years. I decided to sell it as is for two reasons. 1.) So everyone could see exactly what happened to the car. I have plenty of pics before and after the fire. The only thing that was done to it was the bumper was removed (which I still have) and I spent some time cleaning it. That's it. 2.) Whoever buys it has the option of taking it to their favorite shop that they trust or doing it themselves and not wondering who did the work and if it was repaired properly. They could have piece of mind knowing it wasn't a hack job and that the car is now better than new. This is a great opportunity to own this beast and at a price that wouldn't even cover the modifications done to the car. Keep in mind the car still only has 4555 miles. Its no where near broken in yet. If you have any questions or would like some more pictures feel free to contact me anytime. Below is the original listing describing what was done to the car and a few videos. Thanks,Chris203-868-1482 Videos of the car showing it's current state- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDJLe4ofN74&list=UU85GHKKINIHZwiOJJivDWHg- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGM8XjbZwHQ&list=UU85GHKKINIHZwiOJJivDWHg The car was loaded from the factory with the 3LZ package which included the leather wrapped dash and door panels and has the navigation system and XM satellite radio. No expense was spared while building this amazing machine. All of the mechanical work was performed by Lingenfelter at their shop in Decatur, Indiana. I bought the vehicle new in December 2009 and in March of 2010 it took its first trip to Lingenfelter with only 175 miles on the odometer. Per my request, they installed their most aggressive cam package along with some other goodies. The car went back in April 2011 with 2400 miles for the second round of upgrades which included some more engine mods and 4.10 gears. The car is an absolute animal when pushed to 7200rpm, but can just as easily be driven smoothly around town getting 20+ mpg. The gears definitely made it more fun to drive and made 6th gear usable. Lingenfelter builds an amazing vehicle which is probably more reliable than when the car came from the factory. It is made to gas up and drive. The only maintenance required would be like any other vehicle. The attention that this car gets is unreal. Just the sound of the motor starting up will turn heads in any parking lot. Why build one yourself when this one is ready to go, with only the best modifications available, at much less than it would cost you to duplicate. Not to mention months of waiting for the package and mods to be installed by Lingenfelter (they are super busy). Feel free to contact me for any more pics or info. Below I will list all of the mods specifically. Thanks for looking!
