Vehicle Detail
This car has 29k original miles, and is in excellent condition. Everything works as it should. It is equipped with electric seats, electric windows, power door locks, A/C, tilt steering, cruise control, electric antennae, vanity mirrors with overhead lighting, power steering, power disc brakes. Everything works without fault. Vehicle was purchased from original owner and extensively modified and repaired. The interior is two-tone leather and in like new condition. No cracks or tears. Leather is not worn at all. Vehicle was a garage queen. Body has no damage and no rust. Still has original spare tire. The motor, upon purchase, was removed and rebuilt. The following new parts: Fel-Pro gaskets, Comp Cams camshaft (duration: 218 Intake 224 Exhaust with lift of 513 Intake 520 Exhaust and 110 lobe separation, Comp Camps valve springs/retainers/locks, (good to 650 lift) intake manifold (Edelbrock Performer RPM), custom Headers, 2-1/2" custom exhaust with X-Pipe and Magnaflow mufflers, water pump, battery, alternator, voltage regulator, carburetor (Holley 800 double pumper), oil pump, fuel pump (Holley 110 gph), distributor (recurved to advance fully at 2500 RPM), spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, freeze plugs, 3-Angle valve job, SS valves, ported heads extensively, A/C compressor, evaporator, receiver dryer, converted to R134a. This vehicle currently is al original with exception of the driveline. It appears to be original in appearance, but the rumble from the camshaft and the exhaust turns heads at every stoplight. I get thumbs up and a gathered crowd each time I drive it to the coffee shop or gas station. It is a mild built 460, and has 9:1 static compression. It is capable of running all day long on 87 octane gas. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. The air conditioning cools great on days in excess of 100* F. Cruise control works perfectly. I intended on adding air bags and painting it black, but my other project is running way over on cost, and I must rid myself of this car or the motorcycle being built, and I can't lose the motorcycle....therefore the car must go. My reserve is about what I have wrapped up in the motor work alone. Bid early and bid as if you intend to buy. You will not be disappointed. Videos and any photo's requested will be provided as requested. $1,000 deposit required within 3 days of auction ending. Feel free to call or email if you have any questions. I will sell world wide, but shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. On Aug-11-14 at 08:03:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I have uploaded a video of the engine running as requested. This was taken at a parking garage across the street from my loft. It has somewhat of an echo as well as wind noise, but it's fairly clear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGXL3UHUQD0&feature=youtu.beOn Aug-11-14 at 14:46:06 PDT, seller added the following information: To clarify and respond to many emails, I'll offer the following: In the early 1980's, I met an auto mechanic who was a few years older than I. After becoming friends, I went to work for the local Ford dealership, and he the Cadillac dealer. He worked for the Cadillac dealer, the Chevy dealer, and then the Ford dealer. In the early 1990's, he opened his own shop, which he still has today. He performed the work on the car, it was not done by myself or some shade tree mechanic. The remote mirrors work, yes. And regarding dash cracks, there are none. Not even a hairline crack. The work to the motor was completed in the last three months, and has less than 1000 miles on it. Yes, the paint is original, and yes they are the original colors (see vehicle identification tag photo added, which has paint codes). The transmission is a C6, and the rear axle is the infamous Ford 9". The radiator hoses, bypass hoses, heater hoses, and clamps were all replaced at the time the work was done. Lastly, the A/C system, in it's ENTIRETY, was disassembled, and every o-ring was replaced along with the compressor, evaporator, and receiver dryer. The original compressor and other parts are in the replacement part boxes, and in the trunk. The compressor (original Motorcraft) is functional, and noise free, but had a front seal leaking. I opted to replace it. Again, I intended to make this car a pro touring car, and spared no expense in the work being done. Hope this helps.
