Listing my: 1970 Monte Carlo, PS, PB, V/8, 400th trans 12 Bolt rear end Took this car in on trade from a buddy who wanted a monster 4x4 I had... This car is a head-turner, runs great, sounds great, just needs a new home... It's the wrong circa for what I prefer which 1965 and older cars... This car lived most of it's life tucked in the elderly gentlemens garage till the last year when my friend found it and made it his weekend driver... From what Ive asertained since owning it, it had very few problems (some I've already fixed)... It has a 355 (.030 350ci) runs great, edelbrock intake and 650cfm carb, VERY healthy cam.stainless steel headers and dual exhaust... It's major mechanical problem was a stock 350 turbo trans with a shift kit but no stall converter to compenate for the cam thus it would stall at idle in gear unless you had your foot on the gas or in neutral... So, I dropped the 350TH and replaced it with a fresh 400TH and a 2800-3000rpm stall...problem fixed... It changed the game on how this car runs, not only does it not die at idle, it shifts like a vette, as I had all the good pieces, (cervos, pumps n cluth packs) built into this trans... It is an A/C car but there is NO PUMP but evertthing else it there to reinstall it... Interior is nice, dash and guages all in great shape uncut/butchered...green with beige inserts, headliner and sail panel are perfect, and carpect is all there just faded in some places, EZ replacememt or dye job...Missing one seal between passenger door glass n rear door glass... 15x8 and 15x7 ralleys with rings n caps on nice 85%+ Michelin tires... I have all the stainless trim in the rock solid trunk along with the original frnder skirts... I just bedlinered the truck, it was perfect so I didnt want it to rust and it's protected now... The worst thing I can find on the car is the same thing that in indicitive of all the Monte Carlos is the rust that bubbles under the top around the back window, however it's only surface...It's not leaking inside or the rear area... Power Brakes and rotors are fine, but pedal is a bit weak, I'm guessing booster which I'm keeping an eye out for right now... Car does need a new rubber seal around truck lid... Car still needs a new set of shocks... Like I said, needs very little, drive it while you tinker with the few little thigs or is prime for a original resto... I do have this car For Sale Locally and reserve the right to end auction due to local sale If you have questions and would like to speak with me direct, you may call or txt me @ 6152393899
