You are bidding on '69 C10 Chevy Step Side SWB truck project that began as a complete frame-off restoration several years ago and has been sitting ever since. I purchased the truck with the intention of finishing it, but simply don’t have the time and it’s taking up a lot of room in my garage. The truck was completely disassembled with the cab getting new cab corners & rockers professionally installed with the bottom of the cab looking as good as the top. Cab/doors/front & inner fenders along with the doghouse have all been painted a factory GM red and have all new cab mounts/bushings...whoever prepped & painted the truck did an excellent job, but the paint does have some chips/scratches primarily behind the cab where someone was apparently trying to mock up the bed after cab was painted. Chassis was cleaned/sanded and appears to have been treated with Eastwood’s rust converter. As far as the current status of the truck, the cab/dog house and engine/trans/rear end are all mounted to the chassis just as it is represented in the pics. Here is a brief description of what all is included with the truck. Note that all the parts that come with this auction may not be listed here as I am just listing them off the top of my head, so if you have a question about a particular part, please ask. Also, I have tried to represent this truck the best I can with the 24 pics allowed so if you need any other pics, just let me know. ENGINE COMPARTMENT:-250 6-cylinder engine…engine hasn’t been started since it was refurbished, but all engine gaskets appear to be new and it has great compression and turns over as it should…..Pretty much all the engine accessories are new…alternator, distributor, plugs, plug wires, starter solenoid, Gates radiator hoses & fan belt, thermostat -3 speed manual trans with “3 on the tree”….comes with all shift rods/linkage...everything to make it shift -Carb has been rebuilt -New intake/exhaust/valve/oil pan gaskets -New master cylinder -New inner fenders - Complete wiring harness is in excellent shape and has never been cut-I think the rear end is a 3.73 according to the axle tube code: THC W0551 EXTERIOR: The sheet metal of this truck is in excellent shape(perfectly straight) with no rust issues. Again...whoever installed the replacement panels, did the body work and paint did an excellent job. Note that the front grill is just sitting in the truck. -Truck is a 5 lug w/ front disk brakes-New front shocks -New cab/dog house bushings -Door hinges rebuilt -Cab corners & rockers…all the notorious places for rust on these trucks have been replaced with aftermarket panels -New chrome side mirrors(not installed) -Front grill is in really good shape…the grill insert is new -Hood is very structurally sound with surface rust only -Bed floor kit is used, but complete and in great condition…can be finished to look like new-Bed bolt kit -The complete bed, rear fenders and steps are in excellent shape, but need painted..the front section, tail gate, and rear cross member are all aftermarket…not 100% sure about the bed sides, but I think they are original and are in great shape. Someone was in the process of removing the cover buttons on the sides of the bed…they were removed, welded up and ground down...note pics. -All but 2 of the bed cross sills/members are new -The front & rear bumpers are included, but are not show quality….but would work great with a patina style truck. -bed/rear fenders/steps & hood are not painted...see pics-Rear fender has the notch for a spare.....but if you don't like that look, several companies offer a panel that can be welded in to cover the notch-Truck is currently stock height INTERIOR: -Seat is in great shape, but cover does have one tear…note pic. -New driver and passenger side glass already installed -Front & rear glass are in great shape…no cracks, chips or distortion -Comes with stock gas tank-Heater Control panel is also included, but not installed-Comes with a radio, but is not original If you are looking for one of these trucks and have some mechanical ability, this is the perfect project with great parts. At this point, all the hard labor has been finished, and from here it is pretty much “paint by number” if you want to finish the truck in red…and all the components of this truck are in really nice shape. You and I both know how this story goes: you go out and pay top dollar for one of these vehicles that someone else fixed to their specs, and it’s not exactly what you want or thought you were getting. You put your own touch on it… and fixing any issues that might exist….only to realize that you have almost twice the money in it than you originally paid. This project offers you the possibility of fixing the truck how you want…whether it be a patina or show truck….and once you finish, you know exactly the quality of what you have. Note that the last pic. included in this listing is just a representation of what this truck could look like very quickly with a a set of white walls and a little paint. This is pretty much a complete truck minus a few seals/door handles/etc in the cab.
