Vehicle Detail
Description:Up for Auction is this beautiful 1973 Dodge Challenger. I don't know the original owner of the car when i bought it from a Chevy guy who wanted to get rid of it, but the fender tag that is on the vehicle tells a lot about the vehicle. It is an Original A/C car but took out the A/C unit. The rims are original factory rims. I had this vehicle for 13 years, it has been fully restored since 2003. It used to be my daily driver when i was in school 10 years ago. The car did come with a 318 which i took out and put in a high performance 340 with 360 heads. It has a mild MOPAR Camshaft Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Duration 284/284, Lift .484/.484 with MSD distributor, ignition wires, and 6AL ignition box, as well as a MSD Tach adapter. The engine needs to run on a high octane. The engine has a compression ratio of 10:1 and the cylinders have not been bored over. There is a Holly Street Avenger 770CFM 4-Barrell Carberator. The car does have a air canister for the Torque Converter since it is a high RPM i believe its a 2,400 stall TCI. It has 373 gear rear end posi trac. Tires are almost brand new. Disc brakes in front, drums in the back. All the suspension, including all the upper and lower ball joints, A arms, shocks had been replaced with new ones from P-S-T. Some of the suspension parts had been painted orange to match the outside paint. It has new weather stripping all the way around. It has Power Steering and Power Brakes. The interior has all been replaced. The car has been driven at least once a week for upkeep throughout the years since i graduated I just drove it around yesterday and it sounds beautiful. I have dynomax single chamber race bullet mufflers with 2.5" pipes and it sounds like a beast. This is a smoke free car!! The interior has been rebuilt with new cushion in the leather seats. It does have an after market CD player i bought in 2002 it works with the AM/FM radio just fine with the Sony Xplodes Speakers in the back. If you notice how shiny the dash and the wood grain door panel inserts are and the center console. That's because it has been hand painted just like the sticker ones, so you don't have to keep buying the sticker's. All the Gauges work!!! Its hard to find a car these days with all the gauges working. There is a aftermarket oil and temp pressure gauge under the dash which works perfect. The heater and A/C unit does not work, but once the engine heats up open the vents and you will get heat.Windshield wipers work, the motor is original. The Trunk does not hold itself open, but it closes and locks perfectly fine. All windows are fine with no cracks. The original vehicle manual is the car as well as the 1973 Dodge Shop Manual. The car is rust free all around except the surface rust in the trunk. This is a fast car!!!! I added a video of what the car sounds when idle, if you can't view it let me know and i'l send you the link to my photobucket site, but only serious buyers please. If you have any additional questions please e-mail me and i will be more than happy to answer them. Shipping/Payment/Warranty/Deposit/BiddingShipping and handling will be paid and arranged by the Buyer. I can assist with loading and making the vehicle accessible, but I will not bare cost of freight or arranging of delivery. Full payment will be fully processed and cleared before vehicle will leave my possession. There is no warranty associated with this vehicle, car is “as-is”.
