Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a classic 1984 Porsche 928S. I HAVE BEEN WORKING TO RESTORE THIS CAR OVER THE PAST THREE YEARS. I WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING I HAVE HAD DONE AND EVERYTHING THAT I KNOW STILL NEEDS ATTENTION. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, ASK. IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE CAR, LET’S SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. This 1984 Porsche 928S runs and drives just fine. Texas registration is up to date and Texas safety inspection is current. This Porsche is officially listed in the 928 Porsche Registry. I have the clear title in hand. Here is everything that I know about the car – read carefully as I’m listing the good and the bad here: · Rebuilt the transmission and rear-end (wok done by Cutting Edge Customs) · Brand new Falken Ziex ZE912 tires all of the way around (225/50R16 on the front and 245/50R16 on the rear) · Brand new rubber bushings throughout · New timing belt · New belts and hoses · Complete tune up, new spark plugs and wires · Brand new battery · Installed a battery isolation switch (this prevents theft and saves the battery) · Brand new fuel pump and brand new fuel filter (work done by Auto Pro) · Installed brand new Kenwood radio and six new speakers · Completely re-wired much of the harness wiring (work done by CC Plus) · Tinted side and rear windows (work done by Performance Tinters) · The shifter is new – it looks like a manual, but it is an automatic (see pic). The plastic shift plate and plastic shifter were broken. The boot allowed me to cover the broken plastic and to use a better looking “pistol grip” shifter with red accent. · New fire extinguisher is mounted by driver’s seat · Replaced the AC from a parts car (still has a leak; stays cool for a month or so but then needs refill – blows and functions properly otherwise) · Replaced the driver’s side seat motor from a parts car · Replaced the driver’s side motor that operates the lights from a parts car This car has BBS gold inset Honey-comb rims which are in great condition. The steering wheel is a Momo with wood-grain. Speedometer and odometer do not work. Both headlights open and work as they should. The dash lights work, but are dim. I do not know the actual mileage of the car (odometer shows 119,xxx). The carpet is the original factory carpet. The seats are also the original factory seats and have some visible wear and tear (see pics). While the paint looks pretty good overall, it does have some dull spots (tops of front fenders), small chips from years of road rash, and clear-coat pealing at the tops of the doors (see pics). There is a dent on the driver’s side just above the rear tire (see pics). The brake indicator light is on in the car showing that the pads may need to be changed. This light has been on since I purchased the car and I haven’t had any problems with the brakes – no squeaking and no scrubbing when the car stops. The original user manual is still with the car and it outlines all of the features/functions. An Autobahn radar detector is hidden in the ash tray, which is really cool. While the lights work, the radar doesn’t. A pic of the radar is included. Despite a completely rebuilt transmission by Cutting Edge Customs, the car shifts harder than I would like in first gear. It shifts on time and doesn’t affect driving so it could just be low fluid, but I’m not sure. I’ve included lots of pictures and detail, but MESSAGE ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. IT’S IMPORTANT TO ME THAT YOU GET WHAT YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU PURCHASE THIS CAR! THIS CAR IS LISTED LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY!
