extremely low mile, CLEAN 1982 BMW R65LS - same owner 1983 - 2013 - I am the 4rd owner. dialed-in. new since last september: pirelli sport demon tires from and rear. new shocks front and rear, major service and gone through, wonderfully fun to ride...performs beautifully! Torquey with lots of power... service records going back to 1982 plus all books and original decals and BMW cases included. I have never seen one this nice and well cared for. Very beautiful and fun bike. Pipes, frame, body, tank, instrument cluster, grips, pegs look similar to new and are BMW originals. Inside tank is fresh. Engine is beautiful as only a well cared for bike can have. Tagged and Inspected. Original KEY, light kit, BMW rag, tool kit and owners manual. here are some fun facts:In 1982 in an effort to enhance the R65’s image the Hans Muth designed R65LS was introduced. 6,389 R65LS bikes were produced, which featured a triangular shaped pod fairing and instrument housing versus the standard naked front end of the R65. Furthermore a different rear seat featured pillion grab handles similar in style to the soon-to-be-introduced K Series BMWs. Different model transfers were used and the only colours were hennarot (red) and polaris (silver). Much of the chrome work of the R65 was replaced by black painted or black chrome features (exhaust piping, mufflers).
