1979 VW Bus Type 2 Transporter Up for grabs, my 79 VW bus…she will be missed. Purchased in 2011 with the tan and brown color scheme, stock, and the engine’s oil sump cover plate was over tightened, causing a major engine issue. This is the last year the bay window bus was produced; it has the larger type 4 engine with 1976cc displacement and fuel injection. Runs and drives great, been on several road trips and was my daily driver for 2+ years getting about 17-18 mpg. Well maintained and kept under covered parking. I personally put about 20,000 miles on it. Very fun to drive, she really moves, and everyone loves to see a VW bus on the road! This is one of the most quite and smoothest driving buses out there. Easy to maintain and drive, teach yourself how to keep your bus running. I will include the Bently and Muir manuals for reference, everything you need to know. Paint chips mainly located on the front of the bus due to regular use Bus does a sort of stutter while driving on occasion, do not know why and has never been an issue, just something to note.
