2001 VW PASSAT GLX 4-MOTION CLEAN CARFAX V6 LEATHER AUTO MOONROOF CD RUNS GREAT Here is a really nice car for a great price !! This is my personal everyday work car. I purchased this from the original owner with 99k on it, and it's still used for my work everyday at approximately 100 per day, or more, so it may have a few hundred miles more on the odometer when you come to pick it up. I purchased this great Passat two winters ago because of the awesome 4-Motion all-wheel drive system and it performs like magic in snow, ice and rain. The color is gorgeous and the leather interior adds a nice luxurious touch, with the wood grain dash. The engine runs smooth and strong and the transmission is perfect and shifts absolutely on point each and every time like clockwork. I asked a VW professional recently why this particular Passat runs so great and is really as tough as a tank, and he asked me if he could look at the manufacturers tag inside the drivers door, nodding his head yes, he looked up and told me, this VW was made in Germany as opposed to the ones that were made in Mexico. He said the German-made VWs were indestructible, tough as they come, and could last 300,000 miles !! The A/C blows cold and strong and the heat will blow you out of the car especially when you turn on the heated leather seats !! Such a cozy option in the cold winter months !! The power windows, locks and 6-way power seats on both sides, all work to perfection. It comes with a power glass roof that comes with the option to fully open or just tilt open. The factory Monsoon 8-speaker audio system is second to none in the industry. It comes with a cassette player and CD player. The both work like brand new and sound great !! I purchased a Brand New Platinum Series Bosch battery less then a year ago that comes with a 4-year free replacement warranty. You'll get all the paper work for that as well !! The tires are all good and still have lots of life left in them, and it comes with a full-size spare, as well, which is really nice to have, although I never had to use it. All the lights both inside and out all function perfectly, and the glass, all the way around is chip free ! It drives straight, smooth and true each and every time you get behind the wheel !! It handles great in all types of weather and the engine is quiet, smooth and just sips gas. As you can see in the photos, the paint still shines beautifully, and is completely original. No rust, major damage, missing parts, lost emblems, and no after-market add ons. The interior is clean, as this car was only driven by me, and always taken care of. I change the oil every 5k miles, with Mobile One synthetic oil, as it was just changed less then 100 miles ago. I have the latest receipts to show you when the oil was last changed. Also comes with all the original books and manuals that it came with when brand new. So by now you're saying, how can this great sharp car be so inexpensive? The ABS system is not communicating with the computer, so the ABS brake light is on, which forces the check light on since the brain knows something isn't working properly. It was like that when I purchased the car, and since it has no connection to the superb performance, I never bothered to play around with it, so I let it be. I did purchase a new module to replace the one that's not communicating properly, and you will get that module, as part of your purchase. If you do some research on the internet, you will find this is a very very common problem, with the VWs and AUDIs of this vintage. I was told the labor to repair this issue is approximately $250, unless you're able to do it yourself. The only costs is the labor since I am giving you the part you need included in the $1995. If you look closely at all the photos, left rear (drivers side), you will see a few ripples in the rear quarter panel. It never broke through to the paint, so I let it be. There's normal scratches and chips but nothing out of the norm for a 14 year old car. The rear bumper has some marks on it, which is quite common with this design. The leather drivers-seat has a worn torn spot where your left hip rubs up against the seat. This above mentioned things are all extremely common on a Passat of this vintage, and can be found on most, if not all of the Passat you might bid on, but most dealers won't tell you the whole story, just the good stuff to get you to bid. I want to make you aware. I've been on eBay for 14 years with a perfect record and I will do everything in my power to keep it that way, so I am giving you the good and the not-so-good things about my car. It certainly is not a perfect car, but at 14 years old, only 2 owners, approx 10k miles per year, 4-wheel drive, the crystal clear clean CarFax, which you can see included in my photos, and the way it runs strong and shifts perfectly, I think it's an absolute steal at under 2 grand. What you will find on eBay, or any other venues, for under $2000 is pretty much junk which you will have to spent alot of money to get it to just be road worthy !! Even though it has some imperfections, you can jump in this VW tonight and drive to California with no problems. After all, I still drive this car over 100 miles each day for work, and will continue to do so until you hit the buy it now key, and steal this nice car, from me. Another inexpensive way to own this car, is to just carry basic insurance. It's not an expensive car to own and drive, so why carry anything but basic coverage? This was never ever driven by a youngster or driven wildly. I am 55 years old and baby all my cars, no matter if just a work car, or my weekend luxury car. They are all babied, and well taken car of. This is great luxury transportation AWD car that is sweet to drive. This 2001 VW Passat 4-Motion is sold AS-IS with NO warranty expressed in any way.
