Selling my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Extended Cab Pickup with auto transmission. It's been a good truck for the time that I've had it but it spends a lot of time parked on the street and not being used; therefore, it's time that I sell it. It has 119,xxx miles. The good: -5.2 L V8 engine. As expected, you're not going to get excellent gas mileage driving this thing (I usually get about 12-15 mpg), but it's slightly better than the 5.9 L option. -The extended cab seats six! You don't know how many times this has come in handy for large family outings. The back seats fold up for more storage. -Low miles...only driven about 9,000 miles since I bought it two years ago. -Clean interior. -Has a tow kit. -Comes equipped with a very nice Kenwood aftermarket CD/MP3 player with USB and AUX connectors. -Registered through June 2015. Recently passed smog with no problems. -Recently drove it to Yosemite without problems. -I have all maintenance records and some of the maintenance records from the previous owner. The bad: -When I bought the truck, the tires were starting to show wear near the sidewall. This is because the alignment was off due to bad wheel bearings. The wheel bearings and brakes were replaced when I bought the truck. Tires have about 20k miles on them. -There is a small, intermittent oil leak. -The truck does need the coolant topped off every 400 miles or so. Not sure what is causing this. -The shift indicator is out of alignment. For example, if the truck is in drive, the needle will be between drive and neutral. -Sometimes the truck will not start unless it is in neutral (instead of park) though it's never not started. Just something I got used. The ugly: -Paint is oxidizing and fading. -Some surface rust. -Dash bezel is cracked, but is covered with a dash cover. -The usual small dents and scratches. Asking $3600.
