Vehicle Detail

I am selling this for my cousin I have had the car for the last two weeks to give it a thorough look over and put about 100 miles on it. So this is a true "K Code" 1965 Mustang 289 HiPo 4 speed Top Loader Transmisson Car. Whoever ordered this car New wanted a sleeper the only option on the car was the K Code for the Drive Train no power steering no power brakes not even the exhaust thru the rear valance, A bear bone car no options. So from the top Sorry to say but someone years ago took out the HiPo 289 motor and Top Loader transmisson and put in a non matching 289 Motor and a 1973 Top Loader 4 speed in its place. Still has 9" rear end with 3.89 gears, engine was just re-built 5000 miles ago with a solid lifters and cam and a good performance intake and carb, car sounds like it has a race car motor, transmission shifts great, new clutch and pressure plate also new mufflers. Car drives 100% very quick for its age my cousin spent the good half of twenty years of ownership and went completly thru car to make it a excellent driver tires are new, brakes and bushings are new the gas tank, wheel bearings and the rims are Original American Racing from 1967, they ARE NOT REPOPS ! There is a ton of receipts as you can see in the pictures of just some of the things he has done. Car still retains its original Poppy Seed Red color, was painted about 30 years ago I would give it a 7 out of 10 for a rating as some chips here and there front valance as shown in picture has dents and small mounts of bubbling on lower rockers and fenders but No Rust as you can see the under carriage is Rust Free ! Pretty normal wear and tear for being thirty years old. Interior is like brand new, no rips or tears, no cracks in the dash, headliner like new all gauges work all lights work, stero is after market that works good. I hope the pictures will answer 95% of your questions, if this car had original drive train it would be worth $45,000. to $50,000. but because the drive train is not the original, I am auctioning it off at a reasonable price it has a Mississippi Title with 2 Transfers of dealership owner to my cousin so All Paperwork is Correct and There ! Selling AS IS feel free to come out to see and drive the car. I am located 20 minutes outside Hartford, Ct. You can call me for an appointment Sean at (860) 424-1818 I have 100% Feedback so bid with Confidence!! I also have the car for sale locally and I Reserve the Right to End Early.
