Investment grade collectible. Not a clone of anything! This is a one of a kind 347 Stroker 1965 Mustang Fastback. All of the mechanicals are new or rebuild and installed in the last 4 months. 347 Stroker motor pushing upwards of 400hp. Of-the-shelf T5 5 speed from www.anaheimgears.com with warranty. New 9’ rear end with new 3.55 positraction gears. Disk brakes all around with drill slotted rotors and power booster. Hydraulic clutch from Modern drivelines. New wheels and tires. The car was built in San Jose, California and sold in Los Angeles. It comes with original registrations from the 60’ and 70’ from Santa Ana {SoCAl} and San Jose {leter on}. Original owner had moved to Arizona in 1980 and stored the car ever since. It then changed hands in 2001 while still being restored and in 2011 was brought back to California with its original CA plates. Car had original miles and was I pristine condition. Complete restoration of the car started soon after and took over 2 years. It included complete disassembly, thorough cleaning and prepping, upgrading of the front and rear end with Shelby R style apron and trunk ducktail, professional body and paint, minitub of the rear end to allow for up-to 315 wide tires {see this link to understand the full extent of this big upgrade http://www.mustangandfords.com/project-vehicles/mdmp-1112-wheel-tub-installation-widening-the-gap/ }. Additionally, dash was customized as well with the removal of dash pad brackets and elimination of the pad completely. Fiberglass hood with metal subframe. Paint and body took good part of a year. Was blocked to perfection, guide-coated, blocked, primered, painted and cleared, wet sanded and cleared again and finally wet sanded one final time and polished to perfection. Paint/body is spectacular, better than new. PPG deep black was used and it’s stunning. Engine was freshly built for a Ford Falcon strip car which ran on few weekends and was bought on the spot by one of the bystanders without the motor. It came with B&M C6 high stall trans and was swapped for a 5 speed for this current application in this fastback. Considered new, broken in since it ran only handful of times. Was altered to allow for manual fuel pump and resealed on the bottom end. Re-polished including the aluminum heads which have been painstakingly wet sanded and polished as well {I have not seen that ever before.. }. SUPER STRONG, PERFORMANCE MOTOR! NOT FOR A TEENAGER! On the other hand, EVERYTHING AND MORE for a mature driver, very easy to drive. Fresh T5 HD was acquired of-the-shelf from Anaheim gears , comes with warranty. Complete new 9inch rear end with new Positraction carrier and 3.55 gears sourced from local authority. Full set of power disk brakes comes from ABS in Anaheim. Massive braking power. Wheels and tires are new and include the knockoffs {not shown in pictures but mounted on the car now – were backordered and arrived 2 months after the wheel package} Seats have been upgraded to larger, better supportive Sport R foams and custom made ‘347 Stroker’ covers from high grade solid and perforated fire red vinyl by Auto interiors of Mission Viejo. Rear seat eliminated, custom made Shelby-style seat-delete platform was made and carpeted. New rear suspension with traction bars and subframe connectors. Performance lowering springs in front with 1 1/8 sway bar. New alignment. Car rides super solid; stiff but precise. Not exactly your weekend cruiser as it’s very loud and racer-like. If you want to get away from family, THIS IS THE CAR because you can’t talk much J Cruising on freeway though in 5 speed produces very mild, though agile animal. All windows are original except the windshield. All tinted. Windows properly sealed and buttoned up Custom graphics professionally installed before assembly. All of the graphics are removable if that’s your preference. I must say though, aside from another car I build, I have not seen a car like this and it get quite the feedback from the public. ‘Stunning’ comes to mind when looking at it. IT LOOK FAST SITTING STILL! And it is fast, very fast. I have made few videos to document performance and condition but I have to say, I have not been able to FULLY enjoy the power available. It’s a racer J, TRULY VERY STRONG.
