Vehicle Detail
1972 Chevy Camaro. 350 with automatic trans (shifter is on the column). American Racing rims in great shape, and tires are about a year old. Fuel cell in trunk. Recent carb. Just turn the key and go - car runs great. This is a great project you can drive while restoring - I drive this car daily without any hesitations. Car needs restoration, but gets compliments all the time driving it the way it is. It mostly needs body work - interior just needs new carpets and a few other minor things - seats are great, as is the underside of the car. My mechanic says it needs new subframe bushings (they are squeaking), and also recommends adding subframe connectors - said to do this when the car gets restored. This is a factory a/c car, but missing compressor. Car has headers, and sounds incredible. Original color was Placer Gold - a rare color which is not seen often, and when they do come up for sale, they always sell for a premium. The last 3 photos below show a restored Placer Gold Camaro, so you can see the color of it on a finished car - it looks incredible. Trunk is still painted in the original Placer Gold color, and data plate reads Code 53 for paint. Was planning to refinish the car without the black vinyl top - just feel it looks cleaner that way - just never happened. I had estimates from $4500 (mediocre job) to high end body shops which do show quality work for $8000 (new quarters, fenders, etc). This car is well worth getting refinished. Car was driven from California to Illinois, and then down to Florida, where it currently is, so it will get you where you want to go. It is driven daily, and I would drive it to California tonight, if needed to. Clear Florida title is on hand and in my name. Please see the many photos below. Email or Call for more details. Fly down (located outside of Fort Lauderdale, FL), and drive it home. I hate to sell (it's been in the family 14 years), and if I sell my other car first, I will end this listing and give this car the proper restoration it deserves. I will not take less than the Buy it Now posted, so any emails offering less will be politely ignored. Call 630 - Two Four Four - Five Six Six Seven. Below are photos of a restored Placer Gold Camaro (you are NOT bidding on that car!). Photos below are shown for demonstration purposes only - just so you can see what the car would look like finished. This is how I was planning to restore it - with no black top. This color is HOT, and this car deserves to be brought back to its former glory!!
