1990 Dodge Rod Hall Signature Edition 4x4 pickup truck. In 1990 Rod Hall teamed up with Carroll Shelby to build a batch of Dodge four-wheel drive pickups with a special high-performance suspension system that is tough enough to withstand the stress of rough off-road driving while also providing a good highway ride. Production was halted when Shelby suffered a heart attack, so only 33 of these custom pickups were manufactured and this one is the Number 5 of the series. (A photo of the custom dashboard plaque with the #5 designation is shown above.) The truck is powered by a 5.2 liter, 318 c.i.d. V-8 engine and has an A727 Torque Flite three speed automatic transmission. Mileage is 159,145. The exterior body is in pretty good shape, but the driver’s seat cushion is badly worn (see photo) and the cab interior definitely shows its age. The Rod Hall Signature models were some of the most interesting, rare, and unique trucks Dodge ever offered.
