Vehicle Detail
Wanting to see if there's any interest in my car. It's hard to find a 325is anywhere locally, so when I came across this one I jumped at it. (you can find a 325i pretty much anywhere) I was working in Saint Louis, bought it from a guy in Illinois. Drove it back to Saint Louis and started taking it apart. I changed all the belts, hoses, fluids and used the car as my daily driver. It was a fun project but I don't need the car... I also don't need to sell it. I just drove it 7 hours from Saint Louis to Grand Rapids (last fall) without a problem. There is no rust under the car. There is a small spot by the drivers side tail light. that is it. It's amazing how well preserved this car is. The BMW E30 is getting rarer and rarer. These are the next collector cars. Awesome little Rear Wheel Drive car. It has the standard 2.5 Liter Inline 6 engine, automatic transmission. Power windows and power sunroof/moonroof work. My average MPG around town is 23.5, but I was getting 26 highway the whole way back to Michigan. Oh, it also has the racing seats only found in the IS and the M3. As of right now the car has these new parts: Oil change with 20w 50. These engines take seriously thick oil Coolant flush Hood release cable/handle Distributor cover Distributor rotor Water Pump Timing belt Timing belt Tensioner All 3 auxiliary belts were replaced All coolant hoses replaced Fuel line to the fuel rail Injector seals Intake boot Air filter Fuel filter Valve cover breather hose Shifter knob Windshield wipers Rear Differential Oil changed IS specific Valance mounted with brand new brackets New battery I just put a new tire on the spare (front drivers side) the flat is in the trunk. the previous owner replaced the brake pads the bad: It will need new tires soon Exhaust from the cat back will have to be replaced eventually. Cat back exhausts can be found on ebay. Factory stereo doesn't work, it has been disconnected so it doesn't drain power cracks in the dash (happens to all e30's) Paint needs some work odometer gears dont work. There are approximately 150,000 miles on the car. I am working in Flint but can come back on the weekends. tags: BMW, E30, 325, 325i, 325is, RWD, GTI, GLI, rear wheel drive, vintage, collectors, euro, german, black leather
