1975 Chrysler Mutineer

* This is a like new 1975 15.5' Chrysler Mutineer in Excellent Condition * I have owned this boat for many years and completely restored the boat and trailer over the past year and a half.This boat has been built since 1971 by six different manufacturers and is still being built today!The boat is extremely fun and easy to sail - great for a beginner or experienced sailor.You will be hard pressed to find a boat easier to sail or faster than this one in this size range.I have cleaned, sanded and painted the hull and deck/cockpit with Interlux Perfection two part Polyurethane Primer and Interlux two part Polyurethene Finish Paint. It is almost as hard as the original gel coat. The original aluminum serial number that was riveted to the transom is gone, but as you can see by the pictures the original HIN (hull identification number) molded into the hull is still there. You should be able to register this boat in any state with the HIN - CBC13786M75J. CBC is Chrysler Boat Corporation, 13786 is the serial number, M is for Mutineer, 75 is for the build year which is 1975 and J is the month of manufacture which is May. All running rigging has been replaced and all standing rigging is in excellent condition. The sail area is 150 sq. ft. with main and jib and the jib has a new Ronstan Above-Deck Jib Roller furler. The trailer has been gone over and received new paint, new rims and tires and new wiring and lighting. All sails are easily trimmed, raised and lowered from within the cockpit due to the unique rigging. I love this boat and am only selling it because I am retiring and have bought a 40 footer to cruise the Caribbean. I am going to miss it! * Includes hiking straps, fore and aft, for those who seek the ultimate in their sailing experience. * The cockpit itself is 7 feet long. Standard racing crew on the Mutineer is two, but for day sailing the Mutineer has a maximum capacity of 4 people. The Mutineer can also be rigged for single-handing for those with enough experience. The deck is white with a yellow hull. Ronstan and Harken hardware comes standard on Mutineers. There is foam flotation to provide additional flotation.The boat has a centerboard that can be raised and lowered according to varying conditions and for ease of transport. When the centerboard is fully extended, the Mutineer 15 will draw a maximum of 4 feet 1 inch. When the centerboard is raised the boat will draw a maximum of 8 inches. The boat displaces a total of 410 pounds.The mast is 21 feet 8 inches tall. The total allowed sail area for the mutt is 150 square feet. The main sail is 100 square feet, and the jib is 50 square feet maximum. The Mutineer can also be rigged for a spinnaker. Sail area for the spinnaker is 166 square feet maximum. Both sheets can be single handed from the cockpit and the roller furling makes it extremely easy for a solo sailor to handle both sails in all wind conditions.
