‘77 Suzuki GS400 good used condition considering 48,516 miles on the odometer. Newly reupholstered seat, mostly original, tach and speedo good. Roll bars and sissy bar are after market. Surface rust on chrome bolts and what-not is a problem but front fender and wheels are pretty shiny. Cables free. The reason this isn’t being sold running is I don’t have the money for the ring job it needs. (cylinders measure 2.60“ and in tolerance for roundness, my micrometer doesn’t measure any closer. The right cylinder wasn’t firing right and after eliminating and switching or replacing everything I am satisfied that’s the problem. One cylinder is lower pressure (55#) and valves and everything else is ok. It’s not running at the moment. I put the engine back together but didn’t torque it down, just mostly to make sure the parts were there. The worst thing in the motor is the intake cam got wet when I had it apart and what I take to be chrome plating corroded and will need to be replaced (the motor hasn’t been run with it like this I just put it in there with no tension). A few bolts are either not original style or missing. Headlight housing is broke and bracket for turn signal is bent. Rear turn signal fell off and I didn’t find it so the one you see in the pictures is vintage Honda CB360. Not shown is a broken plastic chain guard. Mirrors aren’t original. Knob for headlight switch missing. Rear tire though good is slightly larger than stock, front tire is worn out. The pictures show condition pretty good, some places too good. These bikes in excellent condition sell for $2500 or so please keep that in mind when bidding. They are very nice bikes for just tooling around on.
