Vehicle Detail
2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (All Wheel Drive) over 300 Horse Power 117,000 miles 6 Speed Manual transmission, Air, tilt, cruise, power locks and windows New Items BRAND NEW TIRES Trunk painted. Fin had worn through the seals and was rubbing which started to rust. Had it all repainted and new seals put on. This was done on April 25 2014. I have a couple pictures. Wheel bearing, and Sway bar end Extras 3” catback exhaust (1 year old) Cold air intake (way cold.. it comes from in front of the passenger front tire behind the bumper. Short throw shifter (With reverse lockout) DVD / Navigation / MP3 in dash Amp / Crossovers subwoofer Blow off valve Comes with a bunch of oil filters (ordered a case rather than trying to go to Subaru dealer to get one every time) High performance full synthetic transmission fluid. ( I replaced a couple years ago when a seal leaked and I had to drain it anyway). Features Driver Controlled Center differential (power adjust front to back on the fly) BBS wheels Headlight adjust up and down electronically Intercooler spray Notes · The STI this year shares almost nothing with the WRX. Different engine block. Stronger transmission and drive train. Bigger wheel bearings apparently (found out when they sent the wrong ones). Bigger turbo. Bigger intercooler. The big wing (100 pounds of down force at 100 miles an hour). Driver controlled differential, intercooler spray, headlight adjuster. And of course the super cool interior. High intensity lights. Probably lots more as well. · Wing and hood scoop are factory original not aftermarket. Looks up 2005 STI and that is what they will look like. · Amazing in the snow with snow tires · Only thing that does not work is the volume up button on the radio. I bought a remote and it works just fine. The DVD / Navigation in dash is very expensive to replace so I just use the remote. · 3” catback causes P2097 engine code to display from time to time. It is an oxygen sensor thing. Might be a permanent fix for it other than going back to stock exhaust. I just reset it and go about my business. It is the only code I have ever gotten on the car. · Super fun car to drive. · I made every effort so that whoever buys this car just has to enjoy it. Hence the tires wheel bearing, trunk, etc. I am Selling it because I bought an expensive Camaro and can’t keep them both · Clutch and timing belt have never been changed to my knowledge. Clutch life depends on use. Timing belt is supposed to be changed at some point per regular maintenance. · I have put the last 50,000 miles on this car. · Rear seat does not fold down to access trunk (there are extra supports in there for the STI). This makes transporting snowboards problematic. But they fit in the back seat just fine. · I have never used the subwoofer not even sure if it is setup right. I took it out as soon as I got it because the box took up almost the whole trunk. shortly after buying it I had a leak on one of the drive shaft seals. I replaced it and replaced the transmission fluid with full synthetic at that time.Interior is like new. The two tone rally blue is beautiful. Not smoked in no stains or burns. The StoryI bought this car on ebay two years ago from Boston MA. Flew out and drove it home. Have had a ton of fun driving it for two years. Put 30,000 + miles on it. Made several road trips with it. I Love this car. I just bought a Camaro and can't keep the Subie. The car does have one flaw! The volume up button does not work on the radio. It was like that when I bought it. SO instead of trying to replace a really expensive in dash system....... I bought a remote. Works like a charm. When I bought the car I promptly took out the Sub woofer (it takes up most of the trunk) no idea how to set it up but it is there. Great car. Super fun to drive. Happy to answer any questions. The car is located on consignment at a local dealer 14760 if you want to come check it out before bidding just let me know. Thanks for checking it out. Oh yeah no reserve. What ever happens happens. I started it at my bare minimum. I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. Any questions let me know.
