Awesome 2 owner car!! Super fun to drive...so much that I drove it over 1000 miles for personal use just to ensure it's reliability!! I don't know if you are familiar with the "ASR" or "LSE" versions of this car...but basically it's the more rare "R" version of the S40/V40 lineup. Wing, ground effects, chrome handles, nicer rims, silver accent interior trim, blackout headlight/signal bezels, some came with 2 tone leather/cloth seating...but nothing really changed with the performance. I personally own a V40 version of this car and it is fun fun!! The exterior is an easy 8 out of 10! Superb silver with only a handful of dings. NO signs of bodywork or major repairs/repaints. Front bumper cover is nice with minimal matching paint touchups. No damages, cracks, holes, etc. to be found. Tires are all matching Michelins with easily 70+% treadlife left with the typical minimal dryrot. Michelins always dry out before they go bald! All tires ride on nice straight vibration free LSE rims. No damages. Hood looks great! For whatever reason, the 40 series cars rust in ONLY 2 locations...typically the front fenders where a mudflap should be...which this car is fine. And the roof up front top. I can't figure out why this area has this but there are a couple rust bubbles. No holes. No leaks. The REST of the car is fine, tho. Beautiful beautiful car!! Super straight and clean..I didn't even have to detail it. Rear bumper cover is solid save for a small paint crack and a few cuts/scrapes...all of which are touched up with matching Volvo issued paint. The paint looks great but still has a few tiny dry spots like splatter here and there...sap droppings perhaps. A professional buff will easily remove this. I don't have the proper tools/compound to perform. Note the driving lights work properly. Interior is an easy 8+ out of 10! Beautiful tan leather and vinyl thru out. Steering wheel and power driver's seat bolster are barely worn. Carpet is clean enough to eat off of. I hate smoke and I can't see or smell any signs of a former smoker. Shots of the dash show there are no dummy lights illuminated during run and all light up during start. The car had a typical leaky flexpipe when I got it. A new joint has been installed so exhaust is nice and quiet. This leak originally threw an O2 sensor code. I have since cleared it and it hasn't come back on after 300 miles. Below you can see a Kenwood radio has been installed...there wasn't a radio when I got the car. You are ready to cruise!! From what I can tell...ALL the power items work as they should: cruise, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, power driver's seat, power windows, mirrors, sunroof, info panel, etc. Complete factory floormats are included. Unseen is the complete spare tire setup aired up ready for your roadtrip! When's the last time you saw COMPLETE factory manuals...AND ALL the factory keys included on a 10+ year old car!?!? Yessss both remote keyfob keys and valet key and manuals with warranty entries up to about 50k are included!! Ahhh...the super clean engine compartment. Not all greased up with spray to hide the flaws. Just good old fashioned well kept!! Engine fires right up with the recent AAA battery installed. Runs smooth and strong and quiet. Turbo spools up perfectly. Timing belt was (inspected by yours truly) replaced at 101K leaving you with well over 50K left before the next change. Spark plugs are clean. All the fluids are clean. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my shop floor overnight. Suspension is tight and noise free. Car drives straight and smooth with no unusual pulling or wandering across any pavement. Brakes are recent and super strong. No pulsing or grinding present. AIR CONDITIONING is ICE COLD!!
