This 1968 Mecedes Benz 230S was purchased new by Frankie L. Kraus from Memorial Motors in Houston, TX on March 6, 1968. Due to failing health, Mr. Kraus was not able to drive the car. After his death in early 1985, the car was inherited by his sister, Mrs. Leo Jeck of Humboldt, KS. The car was brought out of storage and driven to Humboldt in May of 1985. In August of 1985, Mrs. Jeck decided to sell the car, as she and her husband had no place to store it. I purchased this car on August 9, 1985 with 11,143 miles on it. The car is all original, including the spare tire, which has never been on the ground. I have all the original owners manuals and the tool kit that came with the car. After careful detailing, I entered the car in two local car shows and took 1st Place in my class in both. The car has been stored and covered since I purchased it with the exception of bringing it out to wash and service it. Several years ago, I had a small ding on the left front fender repaired, which was on the car when I purchased it. It was carefully fixed and repainted by a local body shop. I will assist in making the car available for pickup by the shipper of your choice, and you are welcome to inspect the car personally before bidding. I am located in Southeast Kansas, about 100 miles East of Wichita, and 100 miles South of Kansas City. I would like a $500 PayPal deposit within 48 hours of auction closing, and the Winning bidder must have the remaining balance to me no more than 10 days after auction's end.
