This is car was bought by my elderly father 3 years ago from the owner of our local German Motors. It was her personal vehicle. The car was very well maintained until that point. Everything worked. My father always wanted a diesel Mercedes of this make/model but unfortunately found that he could not afford the parts and labor to maintain it on his Social Security. So things broke and were not fixed. It is a high mileage vehicle, the odometer stopped at 263,759 miles shortly after he bought it. He did not put many additional miles on it, basically just three years of supermarket trips. Unfortunately, it has reached a point where it is no longer drivable as is. It needs all six injectors replaced and has started "dieseling" when you try to turn it off, one injector line has broken, A/C compressor is out, thermostat apparently has gone out as it now overheats to quickly to drive, has developed a small oil leak (does not seem to burn oil, always had regular oil changes), hood latch broken, and three electric window motors not functioning. The good: interior in very good condition. Front seats recovered three years ago by prior owner. Transmission and drivetrain seems fine. We were told the entire exhaust system and turbo had been replaced shortly before he bought it. Nonsmoking vehicle. Rust-free body with the exception of one spot on rear passenger door. Sunroof and cruise control work. The car is worth saving, Especially for someone who may know how to work on these older diesel Mercedes. Buyer will need to pickup vehicle or arrange pickup.
