Extended length models are 20 inches longer. It has a gross weight of at least 9,500 pounds. The design of the E-350 is relatively plain, and there are not any features that stand out. It does have a large front grille and optional chrome bumpers. The driver and passenger side door mirrors are externally-adjustable. It sports halogen headlights with conventional lenses. The 60/40-split swing-out doors come standard, while a sliding door can be added at no cost. A full-size spare is mounted under the body, and 16-inch wheels come standard. Optional features include a trailer towing package.Interior & CargoThe interior of the 2013 Ford E-350 cargo van has seating for only two people via bucket seats, but it boasts a massive amount of space to transport people, equipment, or large packages. The vinyl upholstery will likely fail to provide luxurious comfort, but the van was not built for that purpose. The passenger vans seat between eight and 15 passengers, dependent upon its length.The interior of the E-350 Super Duty does not have any flashy interior features. Other crash test ratings from the insurance agencies are unavailable at this time.Driving ExperienceThe 2013 Ford E-350 luxury model is powered by either a 5.4-liter, V-8 engine that pumps out 255 horsepower (hp) and 350 lb-ft of torque, or a massive 6.8-liter, V-10 engine that produces out an impressive 305 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are compatible with E85 ethanol. It accelerates rather well for a van and is capable of towing up to 10,000 pounds with ease. Highway driving is steady and easy. Because of its power, it is able to tackle steep hills easily. Fuel economy averages at about 18/21 mpg city/highway.On the road, the E-350 rides like a hefty van is expected to – rough and edgy. It is not fun to drive on mountain roads with lots of twists. It is built with a quality independent front suspension with a stabilizer bar and coil springs paired with a rigid beam rear suspension with leaf springs. There is also traction control and AdvanceTrac with RSC stability control. This setup provides a relatively nice ride on smooth surfaces, but is a bit choppy on bumpy roads.
