Vehicle Detail
**I am re-listing my car, so somebody can own a well preserved and cared for ONE OWNER Cobra. I had a lot of tire kickers last time, but nobody hit the reserve price. If you've been waiting for the right Cobra to come along here it is. **I am also throwing in a set of 2003 Cobra wheels (OEM, not aftermarket). 2 of them have pretty good Eagle F1 275/40ZR17 tires on them. The other 2 would need new tires if you want to run these wheels. I am the original owner of this Pacific Green 1997 Cobra with Saddle leather interior. It currently sits at 93,210 miles. I don’t plan on increasing that number much, since this is not a daily driver. 1997 was the only year Pacific Green was produced. There were only 1028 made in this exterior color with saddle leather interior. I bought this car NEW from the dealer in 1997. I HAVE EVERY SINGLE RECEIPT FROM THE ROUTINE MAINTENANCE DONE ON THIS CAR. The car was my daily driver up until 2007. It was garaged and not driven in the winter. Since 2007, it has been sitting in my garage and taken out on dry sunny days. I would estimate that I have put less than 500 miles on the car in the last 7 years. I have always started the car every 2 weeks and let it warm up to operating temperature, so that all the seals and gaskets would stay lubricated and wouldn't dry out. I had the dealer add a Steeda rear wing and Steeda springs before I took delivery. I also had the dealer install 3.73 gears and the correct speedometer gear, so that the speedo has been accurate since the day the gears were installed. This car is not a show car, but is one the nicer and probably best-documented ones out there. It would be fun and dependable for someone to drive on a daily basis or to cruise-ins. The fact that so few of these were made will certainly make it a collector car at some point. I just had brand new Falken tires put on it and had the car serviced and detailed. It's ready for you to drive it home. Exterior: -All original factory paint that still shines well -There is no significant body damage. There are some very small door dings. There's no damage to the paint in those areas. Easy fix with paintless dent repair. -BRAND NEW correct size Falken Tires- less than 250 miles. Original, un-used spare still in wheel well. -All lights and markers work Drivetrain: -Stock engine and transmission internals. -3.73 rearend gears Interior: Drivers seat has much less than average wear with surface cracks and no major rips in seat. The other seats look new. The forward and back switch on the driver's seat isn't working. Up / down and power lumbar work fine. -Steering wheel has wear in the leather wrap on the top portion of the wheel. Anyone who knows Mustangs knows this is a common issue. Most interior shops will re-wrap for about $50. -The interior carpet is in very good shape other than the area behind the driver’s seat where a section had to be removed and new section stitched in. You can see this in the pictures. I’ve looked into replacing the carpet in the entire car and a new OEM carpet is $300. There is a used one on eBay for $150 right now. I thought about just replacing it, but have decided to let the new owner decide if it’s worth it. With rear floor mats you would barely see it.-There is a small hole in the shifter console surround (see picture).-There is some wear on the stereo volume switches, but they work fine (see picture) -Dashboard and all other trim pieces are in excellent condition with no cracks This is not a new car. It is a 17 year old car that I have take very good care of and want to sell to someone who can appreciate it for what it is. The car is sold AS IS and has no warranty. I invite you to ask questions or come look at the car in person. Happy Bidding!
