1971 Honda CB 100 for sale. 6,069 actual miles and a clean and clear title in my name. No reserve. I bought this bike about 3 years ago. I was living in Ohio at the time and there was a guy who probably had at least 30 random old Japanese bikes he worked on. I planned to teach my wife to ride on it but between busy schedules and a pregnancy, she only got on it once. I think I might have put 50 miles on it in the past three years. It is a fun little bike! The good:Besides being repainted, the bike looks like it is all originalEven after sitting for 6 months at a time, the bike starts after only a few kicksOverall the bike is in good condition - chrome is in pretty good shape - engine does not have any leaksInside of tank looks pretty cleanCenter stand for easy maintenance The bad:Bike needs new tires and tubes. Both are currently flat so the bike has not been on the road in almost a year. The tires on it might even be original...even with new tubes, the tires are not safe for anything but low speeds around the neighborhood.The gasket on the gas cap was leaking and gas leaked on the paint and now the paint is showing streaks on the right side of the tank (see pictures)Needs a new clutch cable - at minimum it may just need to be adjusted but probably needs replaced. Last time I started it up to run it, the bike wanted to move while in gear with the clutch pulled in. In the three years I have owned it, I have not done much to it. When I first bought it, I changed the oil, put new fuel lines and filters on it, put a new battery in it (6V), put a new spark plug in it, and replaced the fuel cap gasket. In the last year it has just sat in the garage and I start it up and run it every 4-6 months. It used to start on the first or second kick every time but it sits much more than it runs so it could use a little tlc to get it back into prime shape. Bike is just south of Atlanta, GA. Picking the bike up works best but if you are going to arrange to ship it, I will not crate the bike. I have had success using uship.com in the past. There will probably be a few days in June where I will be unavailable for pickup but other than that I should be available for pickup most anytime. Full payment due within 7 days of auction close. Must pick up/ship within there weeks. I have the right to end auction early if I sell it locally. Bike is sold as is. This is a 43 year old bike so I can not make you any guarantees.
