1998 Dodge Ram 2500 "Holy Grail"Legendary 12-Valve Cummins diesel. NV4500 5 speed manual trans. 4x4, NP241 transfer case. Dana 60 front end, Dana 80 rear, 3.54 gears. Quad cab, 4 door longbed. Very rare truck, only made for 4 months. Dodge switched in 98.5 to the 24v. Therefore, it's the Holy Grail of these Dodge trucks.The truck has a clean title in hand. Comes with a CARFAX report showing 3 owners and no accidents. 300,779 original miles (keep reading). Truck has original two tone "Deep Amethyst Pearl" and "Driftwood Satin Metallic" paint, (midnight blue and silver). Mist grey interior. All bone stock except a Pacbrake exhaust brake. Mechanically the truck is in excellent shape. The 12 valve purrs perfectly smooth (see video) and starts first crank. No blow by! This truck has led an easy life. Trans shifts perfect, 5th gear nut has been fixed. Clutch is butter smooth and grabs perfect. This truck doesn't leak a drop of any fluid. This truck has never been "turned up" and still has the safety screw in the pump, stock exhaust, etc.This truck is a non-CA federal emissions truck, which means no EGR and the highest power 12v made, at 215hp/440ft/lb. Yes, this truck is still CA smog legal and can pass without issue. Truck steers perfectly. Dodges are notorious for sloppy steering, death wobble, alignment issues, etc etc. This truck steers as tight as a new truck and tracks and stops perfectly. The tires are Firestone, street tread but the name escapes me. They have about 20% tread remaining. The exterior is in GREAT shape considering the age of the truck. This truck spent its life in Wyoming and Montana, so the paint isn't sun baked like what you see out here, it still shines like new. There is a factory color matched camper shell installed, made by Raven. It is in perfect shape and has sliding, tinted side windows, dome light and 3rd brake light. Comes with a key. There is no rust whatsoever on this truck. The bed is super straight, not beat and has a THICK spray-in bedliner and flip over B&M gooseneck hitch. The only flaws are small rock chips, some base coat peel on the silver part of the passenger side front fender, and a few dime-sized peel spots on the roof right above the windshield.Interior is perfect. No notorious Dodge problems like cracks in the dash, or rips in the seat. No smoke odor or anything weird. Everything works. Truck is fully loaded, power windows, locks, cruise control, A/C, heater, backlit vanity mirrors, keyless entry, power seat, power heated side mirrors, overhead console with temp and compass, CD player, Infinity premium sound, fog lights, auto dimming rear view mirror, etc. A/C is very cold, heat is very hot.Fresh oil change and filter and fuel filter, ready to drive cross country if that's where you're taking it. This truck is super rare and 12 valves are rarer than hens teeth these days. Finding them not beat to hell is even harder. This truck has been taken very good care of and it shows.
