Vehicle Detail
Here we have a nice 1971 Triumph Bonneville T120. There has been a lot done to this machine but there are still a few small problems. It is generally a good bike that usually starts on the first or second kick. I have a garage full of bikes and I need to get rid of some. I just don’t have time to keep them all in top shape and still ride them! Read on and I’ll try and give you a good picture of this machine. This bike comes with a used Haynes manual and original but ratty owner’s manual. The good: New Dunistall reproduction MufflersForks replaced with good used setNew high quality professional paint job on tank and fendersNew rubber on foot pegs, kick start, etc.New fuel line, plugs and misc. New seat coverNew turn signalsEngine and transmission seems to be in great shape, bike starts on first or second kickA vintage Triumph makes you look more attractiveThe paint is as close to factory original as my painter could get it. I think he did a very good job. It is probably better than the factory did it. The bad: (Some of this may be fixed by the time the bike is picked up if I get the time) Speedometer quit working. Not sure if it is the drive, instrument or cable, I haven’t had a chance to see.New turn signals have not had the wiring connected up in the headlamp so none of them workBroken latch on the seatIt has a wonky key switch that works, but I don’t think it is original to the bike. Some more rubber needs to be replaced that I haven’t got toFrame was not been repainted and so shows its age Summery: It is a bike that starts up and runs down the road well. It was surprisingly quick and handles well. I haven’t ridden it too much since it is one of several bikes that I have and my heart belongs to my Norton. The bike looks good and presents itself well but if you get up close and start looking it over you will see the decals and the paint on the frame as well as the wheel hubs is not new. It has a few small things to take care of still that will just take a little time and aggravation. Please do not ask how much it will cost to ship this bike to Moose Jaw North Dakota, I don’t know. I am not a shipping company I’m just a guy with too many motorcycles. If you don’t believe me you can see my garage when you pick up the bike. If you want to know if you can ride it to Moose Jaw North Dakota I don’t see why not, but even when it was new I wouldn’t have done it without at least carrying a full set of tools. I need a $500 deposit via Pay-pal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. I need the balance within three days via cashier’s check. I will store the bike for you for free up to two weeks while you arrange shipping. After that- well, I’m sure you will have it gone by then… I am happy to work with your shipping company to arrange a pick up time.
