1957 Bel Air 2 door hard top survivor.  I've owned a lot of tri-fives, but none more original and untouched as this one.  85,677 original miles, original paint, original interior.  NOT an original color re-paint, or original replacement interior.  This is an "AS-PRODUCED IN 1957" vehicle.   283 2bbl engine runs very well.  No abnormal smoke, noise, or problems.  It could probably use an accelerator pump, or carburetor rebuild as it has a slight stumble off idle.  The original powerglide automatic transmission appears to be in good working order, however it will need new rubber transmission mounts, as the linkage doesn't line up anymore due to soggy rubber allowing the transmission to sit lower than it should.  As a result, reverse (all the way at the bottom of the shift pattern) is hard to get to line up.  Also, the kick down linkage being improperly aligned is preventing a 1-2 upshift.  With a floor jack under the transmission, the shift pattern lines up and reverse engages properly. I'm sure the suspension and brakes will need an update, but they function reasonably well in their current state.
