Vehicle Detail
This is a beautiful looking and running 1971 Honda SL-175 K1. It belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away and i got it from his wife.I have started this bike twice on cold mornings, and it starts on the first kick every time. It runs and idles like a new one should.I ran down the road with her and shifted through all the gears perfectly! The speedo and tachometer cables are not on the bike and i couldn't find them in his garage where he kept his bikes, but i will try and locate them again before his wife sells the house. I know they are available here on ebay for about $20 each for new ones. John had a mechanic go through the engine and rebuild everything not long before he left us, and it sounds beautiful!!The frame has been powder coated, the seat cover replaced along with new foam, and it looks like all the rubber pieces were replaced with new ones as well. the tires are most likely the original ones (Dunlop) and show some weather cracking and should be replaced. We couldn't find the title for the bike, but i can give you a bill of sale with it, so there is NO title. they make you mark something in the title box or it will not let you list it. All the lights work! high/low beam, high beam indicator, neutral indicator, tail/brake light, the horn does not work. This is a 43 year old motorcycle, it is beautiful and old, but not 100% perfect! notice, i will not ship or pay for shipping on this bike. it is being sold as is, where is, with NO warranty. i will help load the bike with the shipper of your choice at my residence. there is a $100 non-refundable deposit through PayPal due the day the auction ends. DO NOT pay the remaining balance through paypal. cashiers check, usps MO, or cash are they ONLY acceptable form of payment for the balance and due within five (5) business days after the auction. these bikes go upwards of $5,000 or more for a restored example, and this one is very, very close to that caliber!! i have the owners' manual and workshop manual that will go along with the bike.
