1984 BMW R-Series

This is a 1984 BMW R65. I bought this bike thinking I'd enjoy it, but BMW's just aren't my thing. Low miles, and starts up and runs like a sewing machine. Charging system works great (tested). Paint is decent. Side panels were bought used and have some wear and tear. BMW logos on tank and tail are faded. Tank has some minor dings. I did not get any saddle bags with this bike. Does have the gauge covers (need repair) and mini sport fairing (brackets need repair). Could use a fresh tank of gas and needs to be ridden as I haven't ridden it in a while. New tires, rebuilt carbs, new/rebuilt brakes up front. The exhaust is really nice. Lights work. Pickup within 2 weeks of auction end.On May-22-14 at 13:58:16 PDT, seller added the following information: The bike runs and drives very nicely! Shifts very smooth. No unusual noises. Runs very quietly. Battery is about 1 year old. Bel-Ray oil was used and has about 250 miles on it. Sold as is. No known issues and should not need anything mechanically. Minor cosmetic flaws here and there. I do not believe this bike has been in any accidents above 1 mph. (I never laid the bike down) Minor scuffing to the head covers (should be visible in pictures). I did not set it up for a deposit. Please bring the full amount in cash when picking it up. Wire transfer/cashier's check and other payments are fine for people needing the bike shipped to them.
