Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a very nicely restored 1973 Honda CB 750 four. I recently got this from the second owner. It was always maintained and runs and drives great.. The carbs were all cleaned, kitted, and syched. New air filter. Good battery. Brakes have been serviced and are in working order. Wire harness was completely gone over, and all bulbs were checked or replaced. I was told the clutch was rebuilt a few years ago at a bike shop. It works fine. All lights and other functions work as they should. I did a frame off restoration to this machine. Frame was sanded, primed and painted 5 coats black urethane with hardener. Fuel tank and side covers were also painted and new NOS labels were installed. The front forks have new fork tubes, seals, and boots. Also I polished the lower forks. The case covers have all been polished and new gaskets were installed. New oil and filter and pump was checked and cleaned. Side covers had a few minor fixes before painting. New O ring chain installed. Exhaust is in very good condition. The Left lower pipe has had a few small holes welded, sanded, and painted. And the upper right pipe has had a pinehole fixed. I added new diffusers to the pipes but the baffles are out. There are probably a few small dings but nothing major at all. Number 1 pipe has some dull chrome near on the header end. The seat is free of rips and is in nice soft shape. I took this bike down to the last bolt and every item was polished or replaced with Honda NOS parts. Rims have nice chrome with only a few minor rust spots. Front tire is new (after pictures were taken) and the back tire is 3/4 tread. I have the factory manual and tool kit for it. Title is clear. I have a few of the factory decals (under the seat) I added that are not in these pics. This bike is all Honda except for the lower tank chrome. I added a new clutch lever and Honda handlebar grips, since the pictures. I forgot to show it has some mirrors with it too.(last picture) And I showed the added decals and book. I can paint this bike to any of the original Honda colors for you. I have several tanks/side covers off the bikes ready to paint.( allow 2 weeks for paint) I will be glad to answer any questions you have so feel free to call me. Also I can email you a video of it running. I will need your email to do so. You can text or send your email to me. Jim 507-227-6052 I have 10 cb 750's for sale or restoration. I've been doing vintage car/bike restorations for 30 years. On May-17-14 at 09:19:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I think it is important to note the difference between restored and original. This bike was a very nice original bike that was being ridden annually. I wanted to do a frame off with 750 since I have 10 of them to do. What I have found after disassembling several of the Honda 750's and other brands, is a consistent set of problems. First the grease in the swing arms and triple tree is usually 40 years old and stiff. Many times the bearings in the neck are junk. Most often the cables are in need of being pulled apart, cleaned and oiled. The frames on all of these old bikes are loaded with weld splatter from the factory. Many times I find holes burnt threw the tubing at weld points, I take the time to weld them right. The front fork are always rusty, leak and have stiff boots. I won't even reuse them myself. The rust just takes out the new seals you put in. When I go through a wire harness I almost always find something that is broken or hanging by a thread. Usually each bike has one or 2 stuck bolts ready to be broken off with the first wrench is put to it. The engines are likely to have old oil, filters and need adjustment in every area. I never use a creamed tank and always stick to an original clean one. The amount of fixes done to what was a very nice original bike is significant in scope. I love an original just as much as the next guy but after several bike crashes from deer to blind drivers, I need my machine to perform 100% as it is intended or I don't ride. You wouldn't jump in an 40 year old airplane with a quick once over. If you want a original cb750 that needs what this bike just had done to it give me a call. I have them from $1500-$2500
