ALLOW TIME to load Video & 55 photos My “PHONE NUMBER” is “embedded” in the last PHOTO BELOW. I will help you any way I can in determining if this is the right vehicle for you. Description & Purchase Terms can be found below the VIDEOS & PHOTOS NO TRADES Simply put this is NOT your typical eBay Mustang. If you have been waiting for the RIGHT convertible, this one deserves serious consideration for all the reasons that really matter including the condition, the options, the originality and a excellent history of “stellar care” by a former owner of 44 years. Excellent History True 61,800 mile survivor car with a great history! For approximately 44 years this was the personal car of the owner of the Pueblo Colorado FORD dealership “Landrum Ford”. It was fussed over and maintained in “like new condition” by his dealership for 44 years, after all it was the Boss’s car. The car was built at the San Jose California plant and sold new in Los Angles to a lady who moved to Pueblo Colorado when the car was only a few years old. She took it into the “Landrum Ford dealership” in Pueblo to have the drivers side front fender repaired after getting a minor dent. While there, she ended up trading it in for a new car. Her beautiful Spring Time Yellow convertible would become the personal car of the owner of that Ford dealership for the next 44 years. Mr. Landrum and his wife would drive the car every fall season up to the mountains to see the Aspens change color. His daughter drove away from her wedding in this beautiful classic. ALWAYS garaged and driven very sparingly it remains to this day a very high quality, low mileage true survivor that has been restored and updated only as needed to keep it in top form. The once dented front fender was replaced with a new OEM fender from Ford (the Ford “sticker” is still visible on the inner fender). There are NO patch panels on this car, it is ALL original Ford metal. At some point the car received a complete high quality repaint by the dealership and remains in show quality condition today (no dings, no scratches and no chips …. no evidence of wear). It’s a thing of beauty. The history above and the details below separate this car form the sea of Mustangs you see advertised. Body / Paint - The body is 100% Ford metal (almost IMPOSSIBLE to find on a 48 year old Mustang) - The body is Laser straight - The panel “fit and alignment” is excellent - The paint is very slick with a high gloss and NO notable flaws or evidence of wear. Much nicer paint than put on the car by the factory in 1966. - original inner fender stamp / original door trim-vin tag - the top and back plastic window are in good shape - the stainless and chrome are in good shape - all the glass is crystal clear Excellent Options - 289 V8 2bbl motor (only 61,800 original miles) - C4 automatic transmission - Power Top - Power Steering - Air Conditioning (COLD) - AM radio (works) - Deluxe “knock-off” hub caps (or spokes, your choice) - Tinted Glass Mechanical - Everything works (including the cold AC) - It’s ORIGINAL (including, motor / carburetor / heads / intake / exhaust manifolds / tranny / rear-end) - Motor runs great, starts easily, does not get hot - Shifts are perfect, NO winning from rear end - This car feels and performs exactly like a low mileage very well maintained vintage Mustang should. The AC compressor was updated with a modern rotary compressor and the distributor was updated to PETRONICS. Both of these upgrades make a positive difference in these cars. Simply put, what ever it has needed over the last 40 years it has gotten. This is truly a no regrets, “keeper” kind of car. The kind of car that makes you smile every time you get behind the wheel. I have been driving it around for the past seven months and I can tell you that not only is it incredibly reliable, it is a joy to drive and gets lots of admirers everywhere it goes. Minor negative …. like most Power Steering Mustangs, it will leak a little fluid. It also drips a small amount of oil. A simple piece of cardboard under the car is my answer. However, there is no such thing as a "PERFECT" vehicle...especially when dealing with vintage vehicles. This is not a new vehicle; it is decades old. Even a restored or partially restored vehicle can and will have flaws and normal wear and tear congruent to its age and/or mileage. This vehicle may have minor dings, scratches (or, other imperfections) and indications of wear and use because it has been used. Arranging for an independent third-party inspection is a great way to validate a seller's claims about a vehicle's condition. There are many companies and individuals who offer such a service. These services are listed on the internet and can be found in most collector car magazine publications. Of course your personal inspection and scrutiny are suggested and most welcomed. Any and all inspections must occur PRIOR to the end of this eBay listing. The seller has made a diligent effort to accurately describe any known material defects associated with this vehicle.
