Kewett was bought new by UC Davis. Was bought at auction by some guy in the bay area, who left it in a barn. He'd bought a couple of them. It is NOT a chopped up one-- Davis hacked down some of the doors for parking attendant duties. This one was unmodified from the factory, and had a US appropriate VIN Number (UH4ET31B1PH100518), and is stamped on the crossmember under the front hood up near the dash and on the dash). The US Spec Kewets had a round dial analog speedometer installed in the otherwise flat dash. The Barn Guy didn't give the title to the Next Guy, who cleaned it up, got it running, and took it to Burning Man. There are two VERY small holes that have been epoxy closed up in the roof- like 3/16" holes. You wouldn't know about them unless I told you about them. They also attached the butterfly wings to the rear hatch hinges, so holes were only in the front. Next Guy sells it to Florida guy and he sells to me, again without title. He Couldn't title it until it turned 20 years old. It is a 1993 Kewet El Jet 3 I had new D3 batteries, emergency cut off and battery monitor added by TheGreenCommuter in Takoma Park, maryland
