Listing #2: This will be The final listing for this Triumph TR250. I will sell to oversees buyers. Shipping is handled by buyer but I will assist with loading. I will not accept offers while this is listed. Item is in Surprise, AZ. I will answer any other questions and all will be added to ad. Thank you. DESCRIPTION: For sale is a 1968 Triumph TR250 this car was purchased in 2009 where it sat for 20 years until I acquired it. This car is also in the triumph registry if you search the vin on their site. This car ran prior to disassembly which I have video of it driving. It is a overdrive model with wire wheels. I have done lots of work on the car over the years in hope of finishing it but my schedule permits me from completing it. I'm not going to go into the whole its rare, or how many are left according to Haggerty and everything because if your looking at this car you know what it is. What could be fixed on the car was to keep everything as a original as could be. I have almost 400 pics and 2 videos of it driving before work began on photobucket. I have put a lot into this car and am not forced to sell but would like it to be finished rather than sitting covered in a garage. This car had two previous titles one from June of 1968 and after he died the brother titled it in 2009 when I purchased it. Pics & Vids: http://s1367.photobucket.com/user/dk88ss/library/68%20triumph%20tr250 videos are on last page ENGINE: The engine has a new: timing chain, gears, tensioner and timing cover gasket- distributor cap, points and rotor- oil filter and gasket- freeze plugs- spark plugs- oil pan gasket- thermostat and water temp sensor- carb kit done- fuel filter- cooling system flushed- fuel lines- electric fuel pump which is the red wire in the pictures that hasn't been hooked up- engine cleaned and painted black. Everything else on engine is original and works however I do have new coil and oil sensor that has not been put on. Things needed for the engine are: hoses, heater valve, spark plug wires, vac and breather lines, belt, oil and carbs tuned. It does not have the original air box. TRANSMISSION: Transmission clutch hydraulic master cylinder and slave cylinder have been rebuilt and transmission cleaned. Shifted well when ran. I am not sure if the whole transmission was replaced or just the tail section because the original overdrive unit is not on it, it has the standard 4 speed tail and I do not have the type A overdrive tail. I also have a original gearbox sales tag from British Leyland for the tranny. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Nice and solid and straight. No rust in engine compartment. Radiator looks to be original and in good condition. There is no battery. original equipment is still intact - fuse panel, wiper motor, horns, voltage regulator, etc. Wiper motor and resevior need put back in. TRUNK COMPARTMEN Solid with very little surface rust. Spare wheel is there. Spare tire is no good. Prop rod mount is bent a bit. have new trunk seal for it also. EXTERIOR SHEET METAL BODY PANELS: This is where you should refer to pics. I have almost 400 pics in a public photobucket account that I can give a link to. The normal areas for rust had problems which I repaired as I was not financially able to get new panels. All areas that were rusted through and needed the word people don't like "BONDO" were backed with 1/8th inch stainless mesh. The passenger door and fender had dents from previous owners wife which I pulled and did as thin as I could. The rear valance was bad and could still use a little work to be perfect or a new one welded in. Around gas fill was no problems but on sides had problems. Trunk was in really bad shape and still needs some work. Kick panels had rust and again stainless mesh and that word. Driver side kick panel also has new front cap. Fenders have new bulkheads behind them also. EXTERIOR BODY PARTS: Aluminum grille and luggage rack are very good. Head light assembly is missing one chrome ring. For the lights the pics show there is a crack in one of the tail lamp housing and a side marker has a broken amber lens. One glass reverse lens is missing also. All lights worked prior to disassembly. All external body rubber gaskets and seals are original and some will need replacing. the doors will need new seals also. I do have a new window frame to body seal. Bumpers are not straight. PAINT: The paint codes are 34 and 11, jasmine exterior and black interior. While stripping the paint I found remnants of the front stripe so I know the car had one paint prior to me in the original color. The paint now on the car is MFG code 34 jasmine yellow that I purchased from SpaceAge Auto Paint. I was going to paint the stripe back on it. you can find the specs for the stripe online or a template. I am not a professional painter so there is some orange peel. GLASS: The side windows are good with no damage. The windscreen has a damaged area about the size of a quarter on the passenger side that didn't matter to me because its original so I was going to use it. Again there are pics of it. Both side windows are good and undamaged and roll up and down easily. There is no material on convertible frame so there is no back window. CHASSIS: The frame and underside of the car were stripped to bare metal. The frame had some plates welded into it were there were signs of rust in the back. Again there are pics with the frame off. The frame is coated with por15 INTERIOR: The interior was really rough. The seats are rough see pics, no carpet, all panels are in rough shape not sure if they can be redone or need new interior kit. Best thing is to refer to pics. DASH AREA: The wood dash is original with some chips, I was going to use it again because of the originality. Dash pads all need redone if possible or a new set. The gauges are all good and work. The switches and lights all worked when ran .There is no radio. Sun visors are good but mirror in passenger is loose. TIRES & WHEELS: All 5 wheels are original to the car. The tires are no good but do hold air but all need replacing. The spare tire is no good. See pics of rims for reference of condition. EXHAUST: There is no exhaust. was going to order the pacesetter dual exhaust for $350 when the time came. There is 1 bolt broke off in exhaust manifold that will need drilled prior to installing exhaust piping SUSPENSION AND BRAKES AND STEARING. . All original braking mechanisms are original and will need rebuilding or replacing. Nothing missing. Emergency brake assembly is intact. The springs are all new and the front has lowered springs from Victoria British. Shocks are all ok I believe but the rears could have some oil added. Needs new front Axles they have lots of wear and bearings axles are $30 each. All steering components were cleaned and in good condition with new boots. One trunion was missing its stop. Front and rear has all new rubber. ball joints and tie rod ends are new. MISCELLANEOUS: The convertible top mechanism is good and functional but it doesn't have the canvas to it nor do I have it. PAPERWORK: I have a clean and clear title. I have all receipts that will go with. There is some carb rebuild and tuning sheets along with wiring, and vac diagrams. I have a tr250 repair manual also. FACTORY ID PLATE: The Vehicle identification ID plates are intact. The vehicle serial number is CD3398LO. Body number is 3421CC. Engine number is CC3456E. This car is being sold as is with no warranty or returns. Please inspect photos. The car is for local pick up only or buyer must arrange for pickup and deliver. I have never shipped a car so will not involve myself in that process other than assisting in loading. There is a $500 Non-refundable deposit due with in 48hrs of close of auction via paypal. Balance needs to be paid by cashiers check or cash and will need to be paid at or prior to vehicle pickup within 7 days of auction close. I will accept oversees bidders and car can be picked up by shipping company once full payment has cleared. Again buyer is responsible for shipping. The wiring is all original, intact and ready for instruments to be reconnected. Brake calipers and booster will need rebuilt or replaced. Engine- watch the videos on page 17 of photobucket of running prior to disassembly. This is being sold as a PROJECT THAD NEEDS FINISHED.
