This is a RE-LISTING. Last weeks Reserve was just barely missed - I know there is someone out there for this Torch Red Beauty! Please don't bid on this car unless you're serious about buying it - bad experience with my 1968 Corvette auction last week, when winner refused to pay. This car is also for sale locally. 1998 Torch Red Roadster, second year of C5; but first convertible year of C5; First trunk in Corvette since 1962 and 1998 Motor Trend Car Of The Year! - 68,400 original miles;Numbers matching original car; Window Sticker and Build Sheet laminated copies from National Corvette Museum; LS1 345 hp engine; 6spd; Z-51 Performance Suspension; Oak interior and Top, and 10 CD player option. Real nice C5 and 30+ mpg on the road. Only driven 3,115 miles in the last 2 yrs. Added Grand Sport inspired Hash Marks to highlight the Torch Red; comes with an excellent condition extra Torch Red C5 Hood. Runs great and just went on 165 mile cruise last Sunday and hugged the road great. Great gift for a wife. Car in great running condition, but being sold as is. If you like to do car shows I will provide a complete storyboard for the car , A/C ice cold, Always garaged, Custom paint/graphics, Custom wheels, Excellent condition, Looks & drives great, Must see, No accidents, Non-smoker, Upgraded sound system, Well maintained I forgot this important information. Last year it seemed to be running a little warm. I took it in and had them replace the thermostat and the Water Pump. Either could cause it so I just had them change both. Turned out the thermostat wouldn't fully open, so the replaced Water Pump is good and goes with the car. Also there are and upper and lower Tensioners. They squeak when the bearings get old and dry, so as they were working in that area, I had them change them both.
