Vehicle Detail

I would guess the mileage is 112,910 miles. The car is minus engine and transmission. The car came with all the extras, Radio, Heater, and Automatic transmission. The radio is a vibrator-tube type, today the internals can be replaced with solid state components. The car was last licensed and driven in 1989. The four tires on the ground are good. The master cylinder has been sleeved with a Stainless steel sleeve. The driver’s door glass has been replaced. The headliner is sagging in several places, it will have to be replaced. The original wiring is very bad, the car comes with a new set of wiring harnesses. The car includes a full width exterior sun visor. The car has been stored in a garage since 2003. The comes with a nice car cover. The engine and transmission were removed to be rebuilt. The engine had almost no oil pressure, even after a new high volume oil pump, and 25W-70 aircraft oil. Contact me if you want more information or pictures. You can call me at 708 921 6322. The car can be picked up in Monee, IL. I can use the tractor to help load the car on a trailer. I prefer PayPal. I will accept only PayPal, money order, or cash.On Apr-25-14 at 08:49:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I am not the first owner, I have papers that indicate who the two previous owners are. I am selling the car because I have had two heart attacks and realize I will never finish the engine I am rebuilding for the car nor finish the car. I have owned the car for the last 25 years. In the pictures you can see a set of dents in the passenger's side of the car. There is a small rust through spots above the headlight on the driver’s side. I would replace the front floor panels, they are available. The floor up front rusted through from the inside due to a leak at the windshield. The original floor mats held the water in the fiber backing and caused the floor to rust through in spots. It could be patched by putting metal over the existing floor. There are blow-out spots at the rear of the front fenders. There is a blow-out spot on the passenger’s side rocker panel about ¾ of the way down, and a blow-out spot near the back on the rim of the rear fender. I can get close-up pictures of those spots. The interior and seat covers should be replaced or restored. My plans were to repair everything, keep it looking stock, but I was building an 1/8" over 51 Mercury engine for the car. I was going to run a single 4 barrel with headers and dual exhaust. I was going to use a GM 700R4 overdrive Automatic and change the rear end to 4.11 gears. I planned to put an AM-FM CD player under the front seat on the driver’s side and keep the factory radio operational in the dash. This car is being sold “as is”. .
