What makes this one rare is that it's an F250, but more so that it's four wheel drive. The majority of duallys tend to be two wheel drive. Originally, the truck was Tan in color with dark brown block two-tone paint between the body lines. A previous owner had a Maaco paint job done in single stage acrylic enamel black, absoulutly horrible paint job, overspray on the moding, door jambs were still tan, unfinished. They swapped the driveline out of a 1994 with 55,186 miles, this was the way I purchased it and drove it home in late 2009 I spent a little over 4 years on & off in my garage to refurbish this truck for the sole purpose of towing an RV trailer. The intent was not to restore but to crate a maintanace free truck that did not cost a lot for insurance and property taxes. Not to mention, in CT this is now emmission test exempt and eligable for antique plates. Additionally, it's a 3/4 ton truck so commercial registration is not required. I already have a F350 plow truck and last year we found a deal on an E450 RV, the kids were tired of waiting for me to finish the dually. Needless to say, I no longer have a use for it. When I started this project, I was skepticle the trucks driveline milage was accurate, cosmetically, it was rough but it ran well and had a solid frame. When I had the top half of the engine apart to resleal the intake and replace the thermostat, I went a bit further and pulled the heads, curiosity got the best of me. I confirmed the milage I had been told was accurate based on the lack of carbon build up on the pistons, cylinder bore wear, vitually no ridge at the top of the bores, cross hatch marks still present. I starting with the frame by removing the nose, cab & bed. The drivetrain was not removed, I wire brushed the frame, front and rear end, applied epoxy black chassis paint for longevity. The wiring was cleaned and placed along with fuel, brake lines and suspension components as listed below. Each bolt was wire brushed, painted or coated prior to installation, again this was done for longevity purposes. As a whole, this truck has no rust and will withstand the elements for another 10+ years with minimum maintainace Since the truck is not registered, I have not sent it to the alighnment shop so that will be needed. The tie rod ends were eye balled in, couplings bolts are left loose intensionally. The tires are in fair condition. I'm willing to have the truck delivered to any location within a 100 mile radius of area code 06013 once the truck has been paid in full. I have a clean Connecticut Title and Bill of Sale in hand.
