1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4D Hardtop I bought this car a couple years ago with the intention of restoring it but my job has gotten in the way. The car is in very good shape. But this is one which will take a little work to get to a reliable driver. First, the body is in great shape but there are a few scratches here and there but nothing big. Just the type of dings you would get if it were a daily driver of any model. The drivers side rear door has not been adjusted and will need to be done so. The driveline is good - the motor starts and runs but will need to be dialed in. The transmission will likely need a rebuild. And the interior is out and ready to go for a new one. Included in the pictures are some late model seats but I do have a correct set of 57 seats for restoration which will go with the car. Also, I have pulled most of the dash out and it was all in good shape, radio works, clock works, steering wheel will need to be restored. The brakes have been totally rebuilt from the wheel cylinder through to and including the master cylinder. The car does have power brakes. Also, included with the car are the 57 seats, original door panels, lots of extra stainless, several extra fin panels, 4 American racing wheels, a couple extra doors, etc. Further, the front and rear bumpers are new, drive shaft is new, rear end and rear springs are new. The floors are good both in the passenger compartment and in the trunk. The only rust on the car is where the body sits on the frame behind the rocker panels (see pictures). This will require the mounts be cut out and replaced. I have checked and all these parts are available after-market and I don't think this will be a big deal since the rockers have already been rebuilt.
