1977 Pontiac Can Am This is the rarest of the rare. A Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documented Pontiac LeMans, Can Am Coupe. A total of 1377 Can Am’s were made. This is one of 42 built for California and other select high altitude markets with the Oldsmobile 403 engine. The car was originally purchased from Hancock Pontiac, in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains in North Carolina. All were painted cameo white with tri color racing stripes, shaker hood and duck tail spoiler. This Can Am is in good running condition. It has a newly rebuilt automatic transmission and 403 cu. In. 4 barrel V-8 with custom headers. The car is equipped with air conditioning which is inoperative and the compressor is missing, power front disc brakes, Grand Prix instrument cluster with rally gauges, front and rear stabilizer bars, tachometer, AM/FM stereo radio and rare white vinyl bucket seats, Rally II wheels and new tires. The car is solid, has some rust but nothing that is not easily repaired. A great restoration project with a limited production Pontiac that is sure to appreciate in value over time. I have a spare set of doors which are free to the buyer but you have to pay to ship them. The reserve is set low to sell fast.
