According to production sheet (which was still taped to glovebox liner!), this Phoenix originally left the factory with a 361cid single 4 barrel. This was considered the Dart D-500 package although this version was not to receive the D-500 emblems/badging. Currently the car has a 1961 vintage 383 single 4 barrel most likely from a Polara D-500. Distributor pad stamped R-38 HP 3-23. If I had not found that build sheet I would have assumed this was the original motor since the car's build date and the motor's are within a week of each other. Push button auto transmission. Manual drum brakes with 11" on rear. Drums were just resurfaced and brake system bled and adjusted. Power steering. Body is very solid with a Driver quality paint job. Front floor pans were replaced at one time. All glass is good with no chips or scratches. Runs and drives great. I recently drove this car on an 1100 mi round trip from Pittsburgh to Nashville and back without a problem. No smoke, leaks, whines or funny noises. Many new parts. Seats do need to be redone. Brand new carpet, headliner, drag link, ball joints, wheel cylinders, tires, reverse chrome wheels, tie rod ends, radiator, etc etc. Fairly uncommon car as this was a one year only body style.
